<Match Report>
FC Tokyo U-15 Musashi participated in the 34th Japan Club Youth Championship (U-15) tournament held in cities such as Obihiro, Hokkaido from August 15th to 24th.
Achieved a national 3rd place result.

In the semifinal round held at Mori Kyugijo A in Obihiro on the 23rd, Musashi played against Sagan Tosu U-15, the former champion two years ago.
Unfortunately, the temperature gauge shows a number of 16.3℃ as the rain pours down.
I felt the wind and rain pouring down, and the perceived temperature was lower than the actual numbers.
However, the players who were encouraged by the cheers of the fans and supporters who came all the way to Obihiro, showed a hot game that didn't make them feel the cold.

The problem that troubled us in this match was the puddles formed by the pouring rain and the unevenness on the pitch caused by the consecutive matches in the summer.

As the head coach of the team said, "Both teams are under the same conditions," so there was no advantage or disadvantage. However, it is certain that the careful build-up play from the defenders and goalkeeper, which was intended, became difficult, and as a result, the use of long balls naturally increased. The match became a battle based on intense aerial duels and physical battles on the ground.
Coach Makoto KITA lamented, "Even players who are not tall have strong legs and lower body strength," as they were dominated by Sagan Tosu in plays involving physical contact like this.
There were many instances of loose balls being picked up, and it became a flow where we faced many shots from the first half.
However, as Coach Kita reflects, "Although we had many strong individuals, through this tournament, we have become better at 'playing for the sake of our teammates'," and we will continue to maintain a coordinated defensive awareness, including the players in the front line, and persistently resist Tosu's offensive.
FW Naoki KUMATA and others also created scenes where they approached the goal, and ended the first half in a not bad flow.
In the second half, Musashi took control of the game.
53 minutes, Rohto F steals the spotlight from Tosu by winning a series of contests starting from a throw-in, and in the end, FW Terukazu Taguchi receives the ball in space and slots it home with his right foot.
A circle of joy was born and it seemed like we had quickly grasped the flow of the game, but from here on we would be hit by a fierce counterattack from Tosu.
DF Kanta DOI bit his lip, saying, "There was a part where the team let their guard down after scoring points. At that time, I should have spoken up more and calmed the whole team down, and we should have played a little slower."
59 minutes, we were equalized by a goal from a free kick that we can only praise the opponent for, and then we conceded another goal in the 79th minute just before the end of the second half from an attack from the side. We allowed a comeback.
The Musashino players, who never give up even after being reversed, launched a fierce attack, and in the end, goalkeeper Saita Nishiyama also participated in the attack and aimed for an equalizing goal, but they were unable to break through Tosu's goal.
The scoreboard numbers remained unchanged at 1-2 as the final whistle of the match was heard.
"Today's game made us feel our lack of strength," said Coach Kita frankly. "There were good moments, such as taking the lead, but overall it was a difficult period. I think there were areas where we were lacking, and I believe Tosu was stronger than us," he reflected.
It was a message that not only focused on the results, but also on the content aspect, such as being shot three times more.
The commander analyzes, "I think there was a lack of ability to think and come up with ideas in an environment where (accidental) things naturally happen, such as responding to the pitch conditions that were not bad due to rain, other than what was said in the meeting."
However, at the same time, "I think they showed the power they have now, and they finished third in the country," so I also commend the players who have fought so far.
In addition, he summarized by saying, "It was a wonderful tournament, and they grew by overcoming challenges in each match. If they can connect the experience and confidence gained here to the next step."
I have vowed to achieve further growth with the players towards the next tournament, the next stage.
