Day 3 of the camp started with warm temperatures. Koki TSUKAGAWA joined the team last night.
Today, we worked on tactical menus starting from the morning practice.
In the exercise of keeping possession of the ball within the grid and passing it to the side for a cross ball, we focused on our approach to the cross ball, the accuracy of the cross ball itself, and not losing possession of the ball through possession.
After practice, each player is supplementing their lacking areas through individual training.
Afternoon practice is training in game format.
Coach Albert PUIG ORTONEDA gives detailed instructions while deepening the common understanding with everyone.
Newly joined players are also actively communicating with each other and steadily learning Tokyo's style while having meetings.
Fatigue is starting to build up, but I am well prepared.
The competition within the team, such as the battle for positions, has already begun even though it has just started.
We will continue to work together as a team from tomorrow onwards.
On the third day of camp, we bring you an interview with Seiji KIMURA.
Q, how is the condition on the third day of camp?
A, the condition is very good. I think my body is pretty well prepared.
Q, the center back position is fiercely contested, isn't it?
A, everyone has experience and solid skills, and they are all good players, but I don't think there is no chance if I can use my own strength. I think if I always play with concentration from practice, chances will come somewhere, so I want to work hard towards that.
Q, What will you focus on during this camp?
A, I am trying to minimize simple mistakes such as misplacing passes or traps as much as possible.
Q, I think my strengths are my physical abilities and interpersonal strength.
A, I have confidence in my physical abilities and know that they will work, so I want to continue to build my body and adjust my conditioning to always be able to exert my maximum strength.
Q, I think I have been called up to the representative team by age group and my confidence has also started to grow in terms of feelings.
A, in my first and second year as a professional, my mental state has become more stable and I am able to compete. I want to continue without any emotional ups and downs.
Q, which is bigger for player Kimura, enjoyment or anxiety?
A, I am looking forward to the future more than I am worried.
Q, What is the biggest difference in the way you have returned to Tokyo in the middle of last season?
A, I feel that the aspect of valuing the ball has changed. It's not that we didn't value it before, but I think we have become more conscious of not losing the ball and being more careful with it.
Q, We have arrived at this camp while understanding the soccer that coach Albert is looking for.
During the camp, there are also practice matches, so I think everyone has the same goal of being able to play for as long as possible. It would be best to take the starting position during the camp, but even if that is not possible, I want to continue performing well throughout the camp and finish without any injuries.
