Q: Please tell us about the process and decision to join Tokyo.
A, it was a really difficult decision. The main reason for making this decision is that the club clearly showed its vision. They explained to me how I can contribute to the team and what tasks I will be given in relation to the vision. I strongly believe that when the club achieves its vision, I will also be able to achieve my own goals. I am 29 years old this year and I feel that I don't have much time left as a player. It was a difficult decision, but I chose to fight as a member of Tokyo.
Q, what kind of conversation did you have with Coach Klomovski after practice?
A, we discussed reflecting on the meeting and talking about the plays that Coach CKLAMOVSKI is looking for. We were told to express the intensity and play utilizing our strengths.
Q, please tell us your strong points.
I want you to see my sprint ability and my ability to defend and attack against individuals. Especially when it comes to speed and sprinting, I don't want to lose. I think that in order to survive as a professional soccer player, you need overwhelming weapons, and I want to show my existence through my sprinting ability and my ability to defend and attack against individuals.
Q, Jul 7 (Fri) was the first day of practice. Please tell us your impressions and the atmosphere after joining.
A, many really kind players made a welcoming atmosphere in the team.
Q: Do you have any teammates who have played together in the past?
Although it was only half of the season, I played with Seiji KIMURA during my time at Kyoto Sanga F.C., and with Tsuyoshi KODAMA for about one and a half seasons at Ehime FC.
Q, it seems like you started your career from JFL and have been steadily stepping up.
A, I have been playing as a J.League player for the past 10 years, but honestly, I think the times when things didn't go well and I struggled were longer. However, within that, I have been able to overcome my own challenges and weaknesses one by one, and at a timing when my performance was also good, I received an offer from Tokyo. I think that what I have built up until now was not a mistake, and I also think that it is my last chance in terms of age, so I want to bet my life and continue to compete.
Q: Based on past matches and other factors, please tell us your impression of Tokyo.
A, the team used to have a strong impression of being based on solid defense and fast attacks, but in recent seasons, it seems to have shifted to possession-based soccer and taking control of the game. And the quality of all the players is very high, and especially after Coach CKLAMOVSKI took over, there was a strong impression that the part of running and fighting has increased significantly during matches.
Q: What would you like fans and supporters to call you?
A, please take care of yourself.
Q, please give a message to the fans and supporters.
I want to contribute to the team's victory by fully utilizing my strengths and advantages such as sprinting ability and physical strength. Thank you for your support.
