Q, is the current situation that the morning practice is focused on physical training, and the afternoon practice is focused on menu using the ball?
A, today's morning practice also included strength training during the practice, and afterwards we did possession drills. I think the afternoon practice will mostly consist of exercises using the ball.
Q: How is the team atmosphere even though it has just started?
I think we are able to play brightly, and everyone is trying their best to understand what the coach is asking for. There are also scenes where players are discussing with each other, and I think the communication is going well.
Q: Do you have any sense of how this season's soccer is going at this point?
I think the part of connecting from the goalkeeper is a big change from last season, so if everyone doesn't have a common understanding, I don't think we can connect the ball. If one person takes a different position, the ball won't move forward easily, so that's a different part from last year. I also want to understand what the coach is asking for quickly and move my body accordingly.
Q, The head may get tired before the body. It may seem like a clear game of soccer, but do you personally understand it?
A, At the end of the second day of morning practice, I think there are a lot of things that the coach wants to incorporate into the team, but the coach says "gradually," so I want to first understand what the coach wants me to do.
Q: What is the goal of the Kunigami Camp?
A, of course, one thing is to move to Itoman without any injuries, but the coach adjusts the condition and gradually increases it, and I think there will be many practice matches when I enter Itoman, so I want to prioritize understanding (Coach Albert's) soccer rather than the condition in order to adapt to it. Next, I want to do the process of transferring and permeating that understanding into my body.
Q: Do you have any thoughts for player Lin who underwent a second surgery, even though you sent him a message at the suggestion of the coach?
I think it's the second surgery for player Lin, but sometimes the team atmosphere changes because he is there, so I hope he can come back to the pitch soon.
Q, I don't think Abe has had any experience dealing directly with foreign coaches, but what is your impression of Coach Albert?
A, this is the first time I have played under a foreign coach in my soccer career, and he is truly a humorous person who often makes jokes during conversations.
Q: Do you have any memorable words from the coach that you think promote the individual growth of players, including tactics, using clever words?
A, various analogies, stories about foreign players, and stories about countries are told, but I think the coach is looking for positional play, so the phrase "positional, not possession" has left an impression.
Q, Did you watch the match of Albelt coach who was in charge of Niigata?
A, I haven't seen it yet, but I want to watch it to see how the defensive midfielder is moving and which players are playing, in order to prepare for my own game.
Q, Captain (Mori Shige player), Vice Captain (Diego OLIVEIRA player) have been selected, and it is said that a Vice Captain will be selected additionally. Are you aiming for the Vice Captain position?
A, it is something that the coach chooses, so I think it's important to appeal during the camp and lead the team, and if the coach chooses me as a result, that's what I think. First of all, I think it's important to appeal on the pitch.
Q, the Japan national team's camp is being held at the same time. Do you think he is a player who could be there?
A, I think it was a chance because domestic players are mainly selected, but I think it means that I haven't achieved enough results or performances to be selected for the national team yet, so I'm frustrated that I wasn't selected, but first of all, I think I have to create conditions in the team and appeal so that I can do it.
Q, do you think that having enough experience in playing and ball recovery is sufficient, or is the necessary thing the result of goals and assists?
A, as you said, last year I didn't score any goals and I feel like I really lacked goals when I look back. This year, I want to be more involved in play in front of the goal and make plays that lead to goals.
Q: There are also parts of the game that were made possible because player Abe played a defensive role. In that regard, do you think it is not easy to aim for a goal?
A, midfield players have various roles, such as defense, offense, and connecting plays... Among many roles, my ideal player is someone who can produce results, such as scoring goals. It's easy to say "produce results" in words, but in order to produce results in the game, I think I need to push myself harder and make some changes this season. So, I want to play even better than last season, starting from the training camp.
Q: What kind of plays do you want to focus on in order to achieve goals and assists?
A, I don't know what formation we will play, but depending on the position, I think we need to take middle shots or make plays by jumping out from the second row in front of the goal.
Q, I think you were conscious of moving the ball forward from last season, but how do you feel about the appointment of coach Albert PUIG ORTONEDA, who aims to play soccer that loves the ball, at that timing?
A, because I am a midfielder, it is absolutely important to carry and connect, so last year I was conscious of trap passes even in voluntary training after practice. This year, it has changed to positional soccer, so in addition to what I have accumulated last year, I feel that I have to do more in today's practice, so I want to become a player who can carry the ball and make passes.
Q, what are you looking forward to and what do you want to improve in absorbing Albert Puig Ortoneda's football as a coach?
I think it is necessary to have a high understanding of soccer, and I want to think and understand the play that the coach expects and put it into action by myself. Also, I want to play without losing the ball.
Q, I think I have become a leading position in my third year. How do you want to lead the team?
A, this is my third year as a professional, and I feel the need to take more responsibility for the team. With a new coach and a new style of play, there will definitely be times when the team doesn't perform well. It will be important for me to step up and lead the team during those times, so I want to approach it with a sense of responsibility and determination from now on.
Q, I also expect the role of a leader.
A, the captain is player Morishige, but I don't think it's just about pushing everything onto the captain. I also hope to be able to lead the team myself.
