MF 17 Tsubasa TERAYAMA
Special content introducing the all-blue-red warriors who will challenge the 2024 season. What are the players, who are facing the opening, thinking and what kind of determination are they approaching the year with? The story of the players who have club love, thirst for titles, thoughts for success, and the roles they must fulfill - -. Tsubasa TERAYAMA, a second-year professional player in Tokyo with a deep squad, challenges for a position with the playing style demanded by the commander, and strives for results with an aggressive attitude to further increase his presence.
After spending six years in FC Tokyo's academy during middle and high school, Tsubasa TERAYAMA joined the top team in 2023 after attending Juntendo University, which shares the same blue and red team colors. Despite the chaos of last season, including a change in coaches, his love for the club remains unchanged. His strong desire to play and win for this team continues to drive him in his second professional season in Kokubunji. The new season will bring even fiercer competition, but he is determined to learn from the best players and use his strengths to fulfill his role in helping the team win.
He says his strength is "playing aggressively". He always plays positively and has a fierce style in crucial moments. Not only does he go forward, but his hardworking attitude in defending is also highly valued by coach Peter CKLAMOVSKI. It's not just about physical strength, but also about contributing to the team in both offense and defense through continuous play. This is also one of the criteria for the coach's selection. The match between Terayama's strengths and the coach's criteria has been one of the reasons for his increased presence since the end of last season.
In the new season, in the first practice match held at the Okinawa camp, the 12th player, or the bench start, was given to FC Ryukyu. In order to break into the main team and make an impact, it is important to use their strengths on the attacking side and produce results. At such a timing, the club's official SNS account introduced a dribble shot during practice. Terayama himself also said, "I haven't scored yet in the J-League, so I want to produce visible results such as assists and goals," showing an increased motivation towards "results."
I have always worked the hardest and made the most noise within the team during practice matches. And last season, I started in the final match of the Meiji Yasuda J1 League against Shonan Bellmare and reached the point where I showed a close scene in the finish. The key from here is continuity and results. Even as a defensive midfielder, I will go forward and get involved in scoring when I can. I have an image of how to make use of myself in the 2024 season team.
"I want to be the one who shouts and energizes the team when they are struggling."
Tsubasa TERAYAMA will strive in the top team to become Tokyo's "Captain Tsubasa" and achieve results.
