PLAYERS INTERVIEW
09.15 Preview of the Match Against Tokyo Verdy

<Kento HASHIMOTO>

As someone who has grown up with FC Tokyo since childhood, matches against Tokyo Verdy are special battles, and I believe they have always been so. This was also true in the first half of this season's league, where a passionate feeling naturally welled up inside me. Currently, our rankings are close to Tokyo V's, so this is a match where I strongly want to win at all costs.

<Motoki NAGAKURA>

For me personally, it will be my first experience if I get to play, and I am looking forward to seeing what kind of atmosphere it will be. However, I understand that this match is more important than usual games. I always fight with the aim of winning every match, but I want this to be a game where I focus even more on victory and results. I am committed to playing in a way that helps the team win.

This is a match where only victory is demanded, and looking at the standings, we want to win here and build momentum. I am only thinking about winning, and I believe the fans and supporters feel the same way. We just have to meet those expectations. The opponent is a team strong in running ability and ball contests, so we want to face the match fully prepared without falling behind. Scoring two goals in this fixture last season gave me the feeling that my career at FC Tokyo finally began. I believe that the players who can enjoy the atmosphere of the stadium are the ones who score goals.

<Alexander SCHOLZ>

I am looking forward to my first match since joining Tokyo. I have played for various clubs before, but this is my first experience facing a club that shares the same city and the same stadium as their home ground. In terms of preparation for the match, I feel that our team has made the best possible preparations. This upcoming match feels close to the motivation of playing in a cup competition Final Round. It’s not about tactics or anything like that; the mindset is what matters.

<Leon NOZAWA>

As a team, there have been ups and downs, and we have not been able to deliver good results to our fans, supporters, and everyone who supports us. The upcoming match against Tokyo Verdy is a special and important one. Considering the current team situation, I believe that winning one match will allow us to ride a good wave, and I want to use it as a positive trigger for the future. Personally, although my playing time has been increasing, I feel frustrated that I have not been able to contribute to victories. I want to fulfill the role given to me with responsibility and make this a match where everyone fights facing the same direction.
