[Player and Coach Comments]

"Masato MORISHIGE Player"
(Please tell us your honest thoughts now that the game is over)
"I wanted to win. I'm frustrated."

(I think it was a situation where it was decided which one would win, but what about the course of the game?)
"I don't think there was much difference in team strength, and as the level gets higher, the difference in individual abilities becomes more important in the end. I think this was a good lesson for both young players and the team, as it made us realize what we need to do in the future."

(What do you feel was lacking to advance to the Best 8?)
"I feel like we were always beaten in terms of individual abilities in the end."
"I feel like I can't go up from here unless I break through that."

《Keigo HIGASHI Player》
"It was our team's 3rd challenge."
Everyone gave their all in the battle, but we couldn't score a point and the opponent scored one. I feel that's where the difference lies. I want to firmly accept this result and move on to the next.

(What do you feel as a captain?)
"I really wanted to play as many games as possible here."
I am really frustrated now. As an individual, I truly felt the joy of returning from injury and being able to play in the game, and I don't want to end it with the words "it was a good experience". I think it is a rare experience to play this many games in this atmosphere in a concentrated event like this, and we must change it for the better in the future.
There are still league matches remaining, and there will also be the final round of the Levain Cup in the new year.
"I want to make the most of this experience in the remaining three matches."

(To all the fans and supporters)
"We worked hard to have as many of our games as possible watched on TV, and we really wanted to win somehow."
I want to show my growth in the last three matches through this experience."

"Go HATANO Player"
(After the game, my honest feelings are)
"I feel frustrated, but I think it's something to be confident about that we were able to participate in this tournament where only three teams from Japan can compete and play on such a stage. The tournament has ended, but I hope to come back again. We have the final of the league and the Levain Cup in Japan when we return. I think we have no choice but to prepare for the next challenge."

(After playing in all 5 ACL matches, ZECA evaluated himself as follows)
"There are endless challenges, but I was able to play with confidence, so I think I can return home with some growth. My soccer career is still long, so I want to make use of what I gained in this tournament in the future."

(What did you feel about the ACL?)
"I learned that it is important to stay focused until the end and not let your guard down, as you can be defeated in an instant. I want to continue to make efforts to save the team in the final moments."

"Shuto ABE"
"It was a match where we had to win because it was the Final Round tournament."
The motivation before the match was high, and we were able to enter the game in a good atmosphere, but unfortunately we couldn't win, so both as a team and individually, it's a disappointing result and this tournament has come to an end."

(The missing part was)
"I think we didn't have enough shots, so we need to be more proactive in taking shots to score goals. Also, I felt that we need to come up with ideas such as individually breaking through the situation or cutting in deeper positions to deliver crosses."

(How to connect this experience)
"I think it was great to be able to experience the ACL in my first year as a professional, and in this tournament, I was able to feel various things myself. There are still two league matches and the Levain Cup final, which are big stages, so I want to fight using the toughness I gained in this tournament."

"Tokyo - Summary of Coach Kenta HASEGAWA's Press Conference"
"I think the players did a really great job."
I was caught off guard by a momentary lapse in concentration, despite the goal being far away.
I think Renato AUGUSTO has been creating chances while opening up on both sides, and I think we have been responding well. However, it is regrettable that we were split vertically only in that scene, and the response inside became slightly weak.
Afterwards, we wanted to somehow regain one point.
We were still able to face this tournament with a wonderful team.
"Although we were stopped by the wall of the Round of 16, I want to use this experience to do our best and aim to go beyond the Round of 16 as FC Tokyo in the next opportunity."

(What kind of game plan did you have?)
I wanted to settle the match in 90 minutes. We had a good start in the first half and I think Tokyo had more chances without giving the opponent any chances.
"I had a desire to take the lead first and dominate."

(When we actually played against them, we found that the opponent had strong players in the front line.)
"Beijing Guoan was a fantastic team, just as we had imagined."
However, Tokyo had not lost at all.
I think Beijing had the upper hand today in terms of the ability to make the final decision.

(I think there was fatigue in the second half)
Both teams were fatigued, I think.
Both teams have been dragging on and it has become a situation of who will "decide it".
I think that was the crucial moment. It was also a chance for us. However, we didn't take one step, two steps, and move forward. I think the opponent was superior there."

(I think this season was a difficult season. How do you want to make use of the experience of this season?)
"It was a very difficult year for both the soccer world and everyday life."
It was a season that made me think about how to survive, support my life, and continue playing soccer and sports, which I have never experienced before.
In the midst of it all, the season where the whole world came together and cooperated to once again play football and sports, while wracking our brains for ideas.
With the cooperation of AFC, JFA, and J-League, we were able to play football and participate in such a wonderful tournament. Even in such a situation, being able to continue playing football and being able to play is something that I think will be a support for my feelings even if I am faced with adversity in the future.
Looking back on this tournament, it was truly a fantastic event. I am grateful once again for being able to participate in this tournament."

(Did the young talented players of the Tokyo Olympic generation gain something big from this concentrated event?)
"I think they gained a wonderful experience."
I think there may have been some unfamiliar aspects in this kind of tournament in Asia, but I think there are things that I actually felt by playing.
I think that will lead to the Olympics next year. I want them to grow by using this experience as their nourishment."
