[Player and Coach Comments]

Switch mentally and physically, and seize 3 points away from home!

Entering the 18th section of the league, this section will face Omiya Ardija. After winning the league and Nabisco's two consecutive games against Nagoya Grampus, the official game is currently on a 7-game winning streak. In the league, the number of wins has taken the lead, and the goal difference has finally become positive. Today is the third game of the consecutive matches that we will face in two days, but we want to switch our feelings, continue to move forward without stopping, and build up for this important match.

Omiya, who is currently in 12th place, has not been able to gain momentum in April and May, but everyone has a high defensive awareness and has worked hard in both offense and defense to turn things around. Although they lost to Kashima in the previous match, they had been undefeated in the previous five matches and have been steadily accumulating points. In addition, FW Dudu, the top scorer in the Korean K-League last season, has joined the team. Today, he will start in place of the injured FW Fujita. At the same time, new signing MF Yong Duk SEO has made his first appearance on the bench as a substitute.

Not only FW Dudu, but also Omiya will launch attacks by exploiting the gaps in the defense, starting from FW Ishihara. Therefore, we want to defend first and not give away the first goal while coordinating between the defensive midfielders and defenders. In the attack, the key is to exploit the gaps in Omiya's organized defense and score the first goal. If our offense and defense work well together, there should be no problem, but Hayashi said, "After scoring a large number of goals, we need to be careful about how we enter the game. It's okay to start the game at a slightly higher pace, but we want to show that there are no weaknesses. If we can find our rhythm, we should be able to control the game given the current team condition."

The players are keeping in mind the measures against Omiya, but they are also tightening their focus on "doing their own soccer" above all else. Despite being away, they are advancing the game at their own rhythm and aiming for 3 points! Today is the first day of the 3-day weekend during the summer vacation. Although it is cloudy, there is no wind, and the match started at 18:04 with Tokyo's kickoff at the hot and humid NACK5 Stadium Omiya.

Despite struggling against Omiya's solid defense, Hirayama scores the opening goal just before the end of the first half.

The signs of fatigue couldn't be hidden. From the beginning of the match, we had our passes intercepted and Omiya launched quick counterattacks, causing us to struggle. In the 4th minute, Kajiyama's pass was intercepted in our own half, and Omiya passed it to the forward Ishihara who broke through directly. However, the Tokyo defense quickly recovered and managed to hold on. In the 5th minute, Omiya once again made a quick pass behind the Tokyo defense from just before their own halfway line. The ball reached Ishihara who broke through again, but Tokunaga quickly returned and we avoided a crisis.

In defense, we tried to maintain concentration and build rhythm from there. In the 6th minute, Bruno QUADROS intercepted and attacked, passing to Ishikawa in the front line. Ishikawa quickly turned around and unleashed a powerful shot, but it was saved by the goalkeeper and grazed the bar. It escaped the corner kick. From the clearance of this right corner kick, Yonemoto took a long shot, but couldn't find the target. Gradually, Kajiyama also had more opportunities to attack, with Kabore and Ishikawa as the starting points, entering the Omiya territory with multiple players. However, Omiya also had a high defensive awareness and couldn't create decisive chances easily.

In the 31st minute, Kajiyama, who had advanced deep into the right area, skillfully passed the ball backwards and ran into the right area where Cabore was waiting. However, he couldn't trap the ball well and it was cleared. In the 36th minute, Tokunaga cut off Omiya's corner kick. He brought it into a counterattack, connecting with Cabore and Hanyu, and Ishikawa went to the right area. He dribbled past the opponent's defender and sent a last pass from the goal line to the center, but it was cut off by Omiya's defender. In the 43rd minute, Ishikawa broke through to the area while competing with the opponent's defender. However, today Omiya's marking was strict and there was no support, so he couldn't take a shot.

Omiya made a substitution in the 44th minute, replacing the newly joined FW Dudu with the also newly joined MF Yong Duk SEO. Immediately after that, in injury time, Hirayama dropped the feed sent by Imakano to the right front line, and Hanyu connected the loose ball that Kaboré and the opponent's DF competed for, to Hirayama on the right area. Hirayama swung his right foot without hesitation and kicked it into the near side, scoring a goal! They took the lead in the perfect time just before the end of the first half and headed into the second half.

Seize the chance and secure 3 points, winning the league for the 5th consecutive time!

Omiya Ardija launched a strong attack in the second half, mainly centered around FW Yong Duk SEO. However, Tokyo also counterattacked by connecting passes. In the 47th minute, Kabore sprinted down the left side. Ishikawa jumped and connected the ball behind him, which was picked up by Hayu running into the right area. Hayu tried to cut back the opponent's DF and take a shot, but was unable to due to the pressure. In the 50th minute, Omiya's left MF Uchida -> MF Yong Duk SEO, who had dropped back to the midfield, unleashed a powerful shot! However, Gonda escaped with a punching save.

In the 60th minute, Tanabe was substituted for Hanyu. In the immediate 62nd minute, Cabore broke free on a lofted pass to the front line, cut back the opponent's DF in the right area, and further turned around to keep the ball. From there, he took a shot with less power, but the GK saved it and resulted in a CK. In the left CK by Ishikawa, Imakawa made a connection, but couldn't catch the frame. In the 66th minute, Hirayama challenged the Omiya DF in the right area and won a CK. In the right CK by Ishikawa, Bruno QUADROS headed the ball standing, but it went over the bar.

At the 70th minute, Hirayama was fouled inside the opponent's territory and won a free kick. Ishikawa sent the left free kick to the front line, where Bruno tried to receive it, but the Omiya DF cleared it first and won a corner kick. In the 71st minute, from Ishikawa's right corner kick, Bruno QUADROS took a shot that hit the crossbar and bounced back, but Imakawa neatly pushed it in for a goal!! They capitalized on the set piece opportunity and scored their second goal!

When the lead was extended to 2 points, we calmly suppressed Omiya's counterattack. In the 76th minute, Omiya's left cross was cleared by Tanabe and escaped to a corner kick. Then, from Omiya's right corner kick, the loose ball seemed to reach the feet of DF Matsumoto, who was free in the left area, but Kanda quickly came out and caught it. Without creating a chance that seemed like a chance, Kondo was substituted for Cabore in the 79th minute, and Suzuki was substituted for Ishikawa in the 85th minute.

Ishikawa couldn't score consecutively, but towards the end, Suzuki attacked speedily on the counter and passed the ball accurately to the area. Hirayama, who had slipped behind the defense, slid and scored the third goal with his left foot. Despite struggling against Omiya's strong defense, Hirayama scored two goals and achieved a 5th consecutive league victory with a score of 3-0! In official matches, they achieved an 8th consecutive victory.

【Player Comments】《Hirayama》"I'm happy with the winning streak. The defense has been keeping us from conceding goals, so I think that's also a factor in our winning streak. The opening goal was passed to me by Cabore and Hayu, so I just hit it without thinking. It was good that we scored a goal right at the end and made it a 3-point difference, but I want to improve my accuracy and score more. My body was really tired, but I'm the type of player who is used by those around me. The other players are making the most of me."《Imano》"If Hirayama receives the ball when I miss the Omiya DF Mat, he can definitely become the starting point. Cabore then makes a run behind DF Mat. That was the team's intention. When we couldn't connect short passes, we talked about using that approach, and it worked well. Right now, everyone is playing while thinking. There are times when things don't go well, but we think about what to do and discuss it. If it doesn't work, we try something different, and ideas keep coming one after another. I think the team is in a good rhythm."

[Summary of Manager Jofuku's Press Conference] "We happened to have won 7 consecutive games, including the Nabisco Cup, and came into today's match. We were able to play a solid game against Nagoya at Ajinomoto Stadium, but it was a game that came after a high-scoring match, and it was also the third consecutive match in extremely hot weather, so I thought today's match would be difficult considering the physical and other conditions. When considering Omiya's motivation, I thought today's match would be a 1-0 game. Being able to adapt to a 1-0 game will lead us to the next stage. The players had a strong defensive consciousness and were able to patiently connect and create chances in the attack. Also, in terms of our challenge of finishing, we were able to score an additional goal in injury time, and I want to commend the players for their efforts. We want to continue training to be able to achieve this kind of finish. It was good that many of you came to support us even away from home, and we were able to celebrate together."

[Summary of Omiya Zhang's press conference] "First of all, I am very sorry to the fans and supporters for having such a boring game at home. In today's match, we allowed the opponent to take advantage of their speed and launch counterattacks due to our mistakes. Today, FW Fujita got injured during practice, so I thought FW Dudu would be the best partner for FW Ishihara and started him. The intention was to launch fast side attacks from him and conquer the opponent's side, but considering factors such as match experience and combination with the surrounding players, I decided to substitute him before things got worse. As a team, I think our speed in transitioning from attack to defense and from defense to attack is lacking. We hope to score more goals, especially from fast side attacks, by utilizing the midfield more effectively, but the transition from defense to attack is delayed, and I feel that the goal is far away."
