　後半開始から松下に代えて大竹を投入し、ゴールをめざした。56分には右スローインを受けた石川が、中央に向き直ってシュートを放つ。だが、結果的に後半のシュートはこの1本のみ…。その直後の57分、広島DFストヤノフを起点に速攻を仕掛けられた。右MF森脇から中央にパスを出され、これをキム ヨングンがクリアし切れず、中央のMF高萩が左に展開。左MF服部がエリアから足を振り抜き、シュートは逆サイドのネットにイン…。またしても先制点を与えてしまった。 　58分には平山に代えて重松を投入したが、なかなか悪い流れを変えることはできず。65分には広島のサイドチェンジから、左MF服部が中央へ送ったボールを椋原がクリアしようとするが、足に当たったところで、その背後から飛び出したFW佐藤の前にこぼれ、シュートを確実に突き刺されて、2点のビハインドを負う…。 　それでも66分には大黒に代えてリカルジーニョを投入し、反撃に臨んだが、リードした広島はしっかりとDFを固めてきた。70分には、今野→石川のパスから大竹がエリア内に仕掛けるが、広島DFに阻まれる。その後も、重松、大竹が果敢に仕掛けようとするが、エリアの中ではことごとく広島DFにブロックされてフィニッシュに持ち込めなかった。 　88分には大竹→重松がエリアで仕掛け、左CKを得て、大竹→リカルジーニョがショートでつなぐが、そこから重松へのパスは通らず。90分には大竹→右エリアの重松がシュート体勢に入るが、広島DFの寄せが早く、ブロックされる。90分をとおして、自分たちのリズムを掴むことも攻撃の形を作ることができず。その中で2点を失い、完敗に終わった。 　【選手コメント】《今野》「広島のよさを消しながら、自分たちのサッカーをしようとしたが、僕たちのペースにもっていけなかったし、我慢の時間が長くなった。アグレッシブに戦いたかったが、ボールを回され、プレスもあまりはまらなかった。チームとしてサイドから、ということは考えていたが、効果的なプレーはできなかったと思う。相手のボールを奪えなかった。奪えないとこちらの攻撃も始まらない。バランスがよくない。浮上のきっかけは自分たちで掴むもの。厳しい状況だが、乗り越えたい」 　《椋原》「前半はディフェンスから入り、悪くはなかったと思う。後半、点を取りにいったが、そこで流れをつくれず、失点してしまった。先に失うと、嫌なイメージがよぎってしまう。勝ちたい気持ちはあったが、悪い方向にいってしまう。今は楽しくないし、辛いが、だからこそ頑張らなくてはいけないと思う」 　【城福監督の会見要旨】「選手は、戦う姿勢はしっかり見せ、最後まで体力の続く限り戦った。結果が伴わなかったことも残念だが、内容としても課題や相手との差が見えた。たとえば攻撃の質。判断の質、技術を含め、少し足りなかったように思う。そこで奪われて守備に使うエネルギーが多くなり、負の循環に入ってしまった。連戦で疲れているにも関わらず、残ったエネルギーをいい状態で使えなかった。ただ、選手が頑張った分、自分の中では強く反省するところがある。試合後にブーイングを受けたが、自分が一身に受けたいと思う。 　選手はグランドの上、スタジアムのピッチの上で戦う。次の試合に集中してほしいと思う。今、チームとしては勝ち点がどうしても欲しい状況なので、選手には自信を取り戻して欲しい。個人の最大のパフォーマンスが、お互いに引き出し合えるような精神状態と、頭の整理をした上で、ピッチに立って欲しい。もちろん失点してはいけないし、得点をしなければ勝ち点3を奪えない。まずは自信も持ってピッチに立つことが大事だと考えている」 　【広島・ペトロヴィッチ監督の会見要旨】「東京は素晴らしいチーム。それに対して攻守に渡ってゲームをコントロールし、勝利できた。ただ、外から見れば素晴らしい勝利をしたと思われるかもしれないが、最後の最後まで際どかった。今日と同じようなゲームを前節大宮戦でもしたが、先制をした後に追い付かれ、不幸なゴールで逆転された。多くのチャンスをクリエイトしたが、ゴールすることができずに負けた。それに対して、今日はゴールすることができた。本来、我々がたくさんのチャンスをクリエイトできるチームであれば、3点、4点とリードして勝利しなければならない。それができていないと言うことは、まだまだ成長する部分が残っている。 　(最近、右サイドから失点していたが、今日は守ることができた)今日も右サイドから10回くらいクロスを上げられたが、クロスを上げさせないような守備ができるチームは世界に存在しない。私自身は、相手がコーナーエリア付近からクロスを上げてくれれば、守りやすいと思っている。最も危険で嫌なことは、今日のFW佐藤やMF高萩であったり、MF森崎の直接ゴールに繋がるような走りや、そこに出てくるパス。サイドというのは二次的なもの。クロスを上げられて失点したら、サイドを崩されないようにという話になるが、サイドから崩されたか、崩されていないかというのは、サッカーにおいて直接的な興味のある話ではない。世界の強豪クラブを見ても、真ん中や自分たちが突かれて嫌なところはしっかりと抑えている。センターバックには、はじき返せる選手を置いてしっかりと守備をしている。やはりサッカーというのはゴールに向かっていくものなので、真ん中が一番危険になる」
