【Player/Coach Comments】
Takahiro YANAGI
"From an early stage, we were down to one player and the team collapsed, resulting in conceding three goals."
I think it was good that we were able to keep a clean sheet in the second half, despite being one or two players short. I wish we could have turned things around in the first half.
(Although there were noticeable plays where they never gave up until the end, such as breaking through alone)
As the number of players decreased, there were no places to pass the ball. In that case, I thought it would be good to break through by myself and chose to play.
(What parts did you feel confident about?)
I think that towards the end of the second half, everyone was able to play with perseverance and physicality, especially in front of the goal. So, I want to increase the number of games where we can keep a clean sheet by being able to do it in every game before the number of players decreases.
(What is your enthusiasm for the next game?)
I want to prioritize the team's victory and also showcase my own strengths and characteristics.
Yoshitake SUZUKI
"Although two players were sent off, I think there were also parts where we were able to defend well in the second half."
We want to communicate with everyone about how to start the game and the part after conceding a goal, and we want to be able to overcome such periods of time.
(What parts did you feel confident about?)
As an individual, I need to be more involved in the offensive aspect and there are still challenges in improving the system.
As a team, do we press forward or defend from the back?
I hope that as a team, we can deepen our understanding of whether it is a time for attacking or a time for defending.
(What I kept in mind while the number of people decreased)
I thought I couldn't contribute much in the attacking part, so I decided to press from the front in the defensive part.
In the end, we were left with only three midfielders, and although we had the intention to take the ball from the front, there were few opportunities to connect it to an attack or to individually steal the ball, so that is the challenge, I think.
(What is your enthusiasm for the next match?)
I want to switch my mindset and prepare to fight firmly from the beginning in the next game.
"Summary of Coach Tadashi NAKAMURA's Press Conference"
"First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to all the people involved who have provided us with a good ground. I also apologize for the very disappointing game we played, despite the fact that many fans and supporters came to watch."
In terms of the game, it was important to be aggressive from the start, including in J1. However, we ended up being half-hearted from the beginning, which led to easy mistakes and unpreparedness resulting in conceding goals.
Early in the game, there were also players sent off, and it was a combination of me not being able to communicate effectively with the players and each player not being fully prepared that led to conceding three goals in the first half.
In the second half, despite the decrease in the number of players, several players ran well until their legs cramped, and not only defended but also organized counterattacks, showing a continued attitude towards the goal. I would like to express my gratitude for that."
