【Player/Coach Comments】
"Takuji YONEMOTO Player"
"I'm tired of injuries (wry smile)."
It has been a really long journey... that's the honest feeling.
Supported by many people and receiving cheers from various individuals, I was able to make a comeback like this.
The most important thing is that the team won, rather than how I played...
However, I think that pushing up from the bottom will enhance the overall strength of the team. I want to continue to work hard to be able to do that.
Thank you very much for today.
"Shoya NAKAJIMA"
"Although we conceded 3 goals, we were able to win in the end. I think it's because every member of the team worked really hard."
Today, there were many young members, but I myself was thinking of playing actively and aggressively.
(Was UTAKA's goal from Nakajima's corner kick?)
Surprisingly this season, I am also assisting from set plays.
Set plays can also decide the game, so they are important. I want to continue doing them in the future.
Of course, I also want to focus on scoring from the flow of the game.
(Utaka, along with player Takumi ABE, were able to demonstrate good coordination in the forward line?)
It was fun.
However, I have confidence that I can work with anyone.
In particular, during the first half, I felt that I had few opportunities to receive the ball and few chances to take shots.
I think in the second half, the opponent gradually started to get tired and we were able to achieve a fast-paced collaboration.
The goal was a little off... but it was a good feeling to be able to score.
I want to practice with the awareness of being able to decide on other opportunities.
(After the match, did you do "Sha" with player Yonemoto?)
Today's main character is player Yonemoto!"
"Summary of Yoshiyuki SHINODA's press conference"
"I am reflecting a little on the chaotic game we played. There were many mistakes and it was an unsettled match. However, even in the midst of that, we were able to equalize after conceding a goal and then pull ahead. I think we were able to earn points today thanks to the efforts of the players and the support of the fans."
Yonemoto has overcome a long and difficult time and we are really happy that he has been able to come back to the pitch of this stadium. I also think that he has taken a step forward with this. We want to prepare well and fight for the weekend.
"Q&A"
(What was the plan for Mr. Yonemoto's comeback?)
"It was his third surgery, and even though he said he was "fine," he had been away from the game for such a long time, so we wanted to carefully limit his time."
I think I wanted to return earlier, but by enduring and playing like today within the given time, I think I can regain the sense of atmosphere and field of view.
In the end, we had a thorough discussion with the medical team, the player himself, and the staff on site, and everyone agreed to put him on the bench today. I think he will continue to improve, and he is a player that I would like to see more of in the future, so we will assess his condition during training."
(What impact will today's lineup have on the team, especially the attacking unit, which has been composed of different members in consecutive matches?)
"The previous four players have been playing with a very good sense of distance, but I think we could have moved the ball more advantageously if we could score more points. There are still many areas that need improvement."
However, today's members have trained well and their performance is good enough to play in the league match, so it's not because of the Levain Cup that we are changing the members.
The members who are participating in the league matches are also dedicatedly defending from the front, so I think today's members were able to continue practicing that. I want everyone to strive and compete with each other. I think there were parts that the players who didn't play today felt something while watching, and anyway, I want everyone to have a competitive spirit and continue to do their best."
(What was the intention and evaluation of using Insoo YU as a defensive midfielder?)
One reason is that he has the speed to go for the approach, so I thought that Omiya would build up through the defensive midfield, and that's why I chose him. However, after winning the ball, he immediately looked for good opportunities, so there were many scenes of losing the ball in the first half. I think it would have been better today if he could calm down a little more and distribute the ball.
I also took several middle shots, but I think I had the power to finish them, and I think I could have expanded to the side and launched a secondary attack from there, so I saw both good and bad aspects today.
"Summary of Omiya - Hiroki Shibuya's Press Conference"
"First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to the many fans and supporters who came to the stadium despite not being able to win against Urawa. Even on a weekday night game, we had a lot of fans and supporters from FC Tokyo. Thank you."
The players played their best to show an energetic performance and deliver a victory to the fans, but unfortunately, they feel that they were defeated due to lack of strength.
We had several chances to score and I think we had a higher ball possession rate, but we conceded a goal because we were kicked with a long ball and we neglected to have a solid positioning in the challenge and cover.
It was a game where I learned that if you neglect such basic things, you will concede points. However, the players were able to desperately score one point from 4-2, and I want to use this one point as a trigger for the next Sendai match. The players really fought as a team and showed their desire to win, so I think it was good.
However, I told the players that I want them to not get used to losing. The loss today is truly frustrating, and I want the entire club and team to firmly accept it and prepare for the next league match against Sendai.
"Q&A"
(Regarding the Sendai match, were there any aspects of today's soccer or the team that you could utilize?)
"We were able to be very aggressive in our attacking play on the wings. We were able to create opportunities and make runs behind the defense starting from the middle of the second half. The only thing left is to improve the accuracy of our crosses."
Also, because I told the players to put the ball in the opponent's uncomfortable areas and to take shots before breaking down the defense during training, their awareness was higher than usual today. I think we can build on that for the next game."
