【Player/Coach Comments】
"Masayuki YAMADA"
"I was able to play while enjoying today."
The defeat in the Levain Iwata match was my fault. But because of that experience, I was able to play calmly today.
(He also showed side changes and long passes?)
When the whole team became tired and couldn't connect the ball, instead of clearing it easily, he was conscious of passing long passes to the opposite wing back without forcing it.
I thought that if I could change one when the opponent put it on, it would become a chance.
I was asked for it, it was also my specialty, and I had confidence.
In terms of defense, I often found myself having to watch multiple opponents alone, and during the game, I received advice and guidance from goalkeeper Lin (laughs).
'Don't leave spaces there, fill them in, it's okay to blur them'... and so on.
I think it was good that I was able to communicate with those around me and make adjustments during the game.
There are still parts that are lacking, and I think I can do more myself.
"I want to reflect on today's game calmly and work harder to grow."
"Insoo YU"
"All players had a strong desire to 'move forward'."
I think the attitude of having a goal and fighting together as one has been reflected in the play.
Personally, I had some concerns before going to Germany, but through the expedition, I felt a sense of accomplishment within myself and gained confidence.
I think the desire to take a position and also to play in the league matches led to the appeal in today's game.
In particular, in today's position, there was a demand for speed and awareness in the attacking aspect, as well as finishing. I was also conscious of taking shots myself.
As a team, there may have been times when the build-up didn't go well, but there were no issues with quick transitions and overall speed.
"I hope today's game leads to the next one."
"Summary of Yoshiyuki SHINODA's press conference"
"It was good to be able to win the playoffs, which is our ultimate goal. The players held their ground well. I think they fought with a competitive spirit while also challenging new things. Of course, there were scenes in the game where we still gave the opponent opportunities, scenes where we were replaced, and scenes where we lost possession of the ball. Of course, I think there will always be times when the opponent dominates, but it was good that we were able to prevent their advances. I thought our defense still needs improvement, especially in how we defended when the opponent's shot hit the post. However, overall, I think it was a decent result and performance throughout the game. Of course, if we can't score the second and third goals, we won't know what the situation will be like, so everyone needs to be more conscious and train in the attacking aspect."
"Q&A"
What is the purpose of adopting a 3-back formation?
"One is to firmly press from the front. This was also the case when we had a back four, but the aim is to make it more clear. The other is in the build-up phase, as we often struggled with the build-up of the defensive line, so we adopted a strategy of using the ground more widely and aiming for the opponent's center. However, it's not just about the system, but also about trying various things to get the players to play with a sense of dynamism."
"Summary of Hiroshima Yoon Yonson's Manager's Press Conference"
"I think we had a close game today. FC Tokyo was a well-organized team, but since we lost the first match 0-1, it was a game where we had to score points. As a result, we couldn't score a goal, but we were able to play a good game. In the first half, we had time to endure, but gradually we found our pace and were able to create good opportunities. Towards the end of the first half, we had a good attack from a counter. We created the biggest chance in the second half, but unfortunately we couldn't score. Immediately after that, we lost the ball and allowed the opponent to score."
《Q&A》
Q=What was the most positive element you felt in today's match?
"We have been training to change various forms since last week, and the most positive element is that we were able to express it in the game. Some players played the way I wanted them to. I think Takahashi, on the left side, did very well."
What was the intention of substituting Chiba player and placing Nogami player in the defensive midfield position while losing with a score of 0-1?
"I didn't want to take Nagami out because he was playing very well. So, I put Chiba in and moved him up to the midfield. I also wanted to see what kind of work he would show in the midfield. I wanted to create a few more opportunities for him to compete in the box."
Q=Is it difficult situation, but do you feel the determination from the players to overcome this?
"The players are training energetically and in good shape. I believe that building on good performances will improve the team in the future. The team is progressing step by step, and unfortunately, we couldn't advance to the next stage of the cup competition, but we want to prepare well for the next league match."
