[Player and Coach Comments]

"Takuo OKUBO"
"I wasn't as nervous as I thought."
Regarding the starting lineup, I had a vague feeling since the day before yesterday, but I was always prepared for any situation.
On the contrary, Riku on the bench was extremely nervous, and I thought, "Why is Riku...?" (laughs).

In the past few games, our team has been conceding goals, so we all talked about wanting to achieve a "clean sheet".
I think the way we started the game was not good, but we were able to endure it together.
I am really happy that I was able to keep a clean sheet today, considering the trouble I have caused the team in the past.
There was no sense that Kobe's shot was flying so much, but we weren't beaten even in set plays. But the most exciting thing is that the team won.

(In response to Kobe FW Halfnamaik player's header, Tarik saved the team?)
In that situation, I carefully watched the ball and waited until the last moment to react with my body, so that I could respond no matter where it came from.
 (The save) was really close.

And today, I feel like I've been helped by everyone.
Everyone around me gave me encouragement and took care of me.
'If you play with confidence, that's all that matters,' I was told, and it helped me.
I'm glad we were able to produce results that didn't betray that trust.

("About Shah")
I always thought that GK might not have anything to do... and I was a little envious.
I'm really happy that it's possible.
I think that being able to fight as one under the atmosphere like today, especially at home, led to victory.
I will always do what I have to do, but I want to improve and grow to the point where the coach worries about using me, by working hard from practice onwards."

"Hyun Soo JANG"
"We have been conceding goals recently, but today we were able to keep a clean sheet."
The first half was tough and challenging, but we all persevered and in the end, OKUBO made a superb save to help us.
I'm happy that we can win together.

(What did you focus on after player Halfnarmaik joined Kobe FW?)
I had the image of kicking long balls towards him because he is tall.
Be conscious of not losing physically there.
I am confident in my ability to respond to crosses, but there are also parts that I cannot fully handle if a good ball is delivered.
Today, it became a formation where Maruyama player was sandwiched, but I think it was because both had good positioning.

(What did you learn under coach Stojkovic in China?)
I have been playing with a 3-back formation in China for a long time, and I think my understanding of the tactics and style of play has deepened.
In particular, the central position of the 3-back is important to play as a leader, assessing the overall game situation. You must read the flow of the game.

(In that sense, do you often communicate with other defenders or with player Takahagi?)
I myself am someone who speaks out, but player Takahagi also understands Korean.
It's very easy to understand right away, so it's very user-friendly. We communicate with each other in Japanese and Korean (laughs).

Today, Kobe came to Tokyo well-prepared and it was a tough match.
Of course, I also want to make passes that lead to more attacks, but even in this situation, I am learning the importance of patience and playing calmly.
I am happy to be able to play at Ajinomoto again, and it was a memorable match to win in front of such a large audience."

"Summary of Yoshiyuki SHINODA's press conference"
"In the first half, the situation of being matched up continued for a long time, and we couldn't easily go to steal the ball, and we couldn't create our own rhythm."
During halftime, I conveyed to the players the importance of removing their marks and achieving a common understanding, which allowed us to execute the game plan as intended in the second half.
Takuo OKUBO made a big save for us, Peter UTAKA scored a goal for us, and I think it was a victory that the whole team grabbed. I plan to continue doing various things for the players in the competition.
There are still areas that are lacking and moments where a little more is needed, but the team is definitely making progress.
I think that being able to achieve victory in today's match, which we have struggled to achieve results at home, is thanks to the efforts of the players, fans, supporters, and staff.
However, since today's game is already over, I want to prepare for the next one.

"Q&A"
Q=What is the evaluation of Takuo OKUBO?
"I participated in the Levain Cup, but I couldn't achieve good results. However, I have been training diligently and my performance has been good, so I sent him off with confidence that he would do well. I think there was tension and various pressures, but he stayed calm and solidly supported the team."

Q=Was putting pressure in the second half originally part of the game plan?
"In the first half, Kobe marked Takahagi player with Watanabe player, Tanaka player with Higashi player, and Hashimoto player with Fujita player."
The three of them continued to be targeted as they tried to receive the ball, which resulted in a situation where they couldn't play well and the two forwards were isolated.
"Including player YONEMOTO, the switch was certainly turned on, but it was not necessarily to save power for the second half."

"Summary of Kobe NELSINHO Coach's Press Conference"
"In the first half, we were able to generate a good attacking volume and move the ball well, but it seemed like there were few movements to exploit the space behind the defensive line."
So, I thought we needed a player who could become a target in the front line, so I substituted Half-time player Ogawa with player Half-Namaik. There were times when the ball stagnated and we were too close to each other, resulting in no one being in front of the goal. So, I told player Half-Namaik to clearly show his face in front of the goal. However, in the second half, we were pushed back and couldn't go out on the counterattack after taking the ball, and the opponent took control of the rhythm."

"Q&A"

Q=Intention of player substitution
"After watching the first half, I decided to make a substitution based on the idea of wanting a player who can show his face in front of the goal. I felt that it became difficult because we didn't have a player who could take depth, so I put in Halfnamaik player."
If we were able to move the ball and create the same game structure as the first half, I think we could have created more situations that we were aiming for, but we couldn't cope with the opponent's adjustments in the forward line and midfield defense.

Q=Why did the situation turn into being pushed back in the second half?
"I think it simply means that the opponent made adjustments. We didn't change our approach between the first and second halves, and the fact that the opponent couldn't keep up in the first half was unexpected in terms of our system and how we played the game. We gained an advantage there, but we couldn't score in that flow, and I think the reason is that the opponent adapted to us in the second half."
