[Player and Coach Comments]

"Yojiro TAKAHAGI"
"Under Coach Yasuma, we aimed for ball possession and tried to fight with a shared consciousness."
I have a feeling that I can do it myself, that I can do it...
The level of completion may still be low, but it is important to play with confidence.
Even if you make a mistake, it's okay as long as you recover. Everyone had the mindset of trying to regain what was taken.

We were also conscious of fluidly changing positions, receiving in between, and each person entering the open spaces.
When the ball was taken away, it was also required to quickly switch afterwards.

(What did you think about suddenly changing the style?)
The individual abilities of Tokyo players are high.
So if we clearly say "This way!", everyone can exert their power in the same direction.
I didn't feel anxious because I felt that way.

(I think there were a lot of back passes, right?)
There were still some tentative parts, and there may have been scenes that didn't go well.
Nevertheless, everyone was able to approach it with the same consciousness, even if they were to lower it to GK.
I think it wasn't bad in that regard.

There are also some adjustments made to Sendai's way of fighting during halftime.
In the second half, I thought the opponent's press would calm down, so I tried to put more vertical passes in the front line.
Instead of dropping back and building up, I tried to go forward as much as possible.

In the final stage, we were unable to reach the ball on the defensive side and there were still some challenges remaining, but overall, we were able to maintain a sense of distance and repeat the up and down movements, weren't we?

There is some sense of accomplishment, but if the opponent is different, the press might be even more intense and the quality of the attack might become even higher.
The game will also change depending on the development.
"However, I want to continue moving forward in a way that allows us to win with this style of play."

"Hyun Soo JANG"
"(Regarding the goal) It was a satisfying goal. That's all I have to say (laughs)."

I am better at heading forward than staying behind.
I always thought that if the timing was right, it could be decided.
We were discussing aiming for a near shot, and there Kiyoshi OTA sent me a good ball.

Although there were many mistakes throughout the match, I think we were able to express the football we wanted to play.
There may have been parts that made the viewers feel frustrated, thinking "Why don't they attack more...," but everyone on the pitch was able to unify their intentions.

Our team has a characteristic in attack, with many players who want to receive the ball.
I think that the defensive line also emphasizes the timing of passing and receiving, aiming for soccer that connects fine balls and short passes.

While I was away from the team as a representative of South Korea, I continued to face difficult situations and was unable to participate in matches due to injury. I also felt frustrated that I couldn't contribute to the team, so today I absolutely thought, "I have to do it."
I think being held without conceding a goal is a manifestation of that strong determination.

There were some mistakes towards the end of the match, but fortunately we didn't concede any goals (bitter smile).
Today, both the players in the front and the players in the back pressed each other and ran well.
I think there were mistakes made because of that, but it is important how we fix such mistakes. I also feel like I was given a message to fight through with a sense of responsibility.

(To the fans and supporters)
I think the situation is still tough, and I was booed again today.
However, I want to turn that into strength and continue to move forward. I hope you will continue to watch over us warmly in the future.

("About Shah")
It really felt like "coming home".
Being able to move together with the supporters and myself, being able to do something together, is an incredible joy for the players. It was delightful."

《Tokyo - Takayoshi AMMA Coach》
"I am extremely grateful to the fans and supporters who came to the stadium despite the difficult conditions and supported the team, which was unable to win easily."
Since we were conceding a lot of goals, we first thought about reducing the number of goals conceded. We also trained on defensive strategies, but we decided to go back to our strengths and try to reduce the number of goals conceded by increasing ball possession and the number of passes.
By immediately going to regain the ball after losing it, we can defend in a solid high position. It was good that we were able to finish today's match without conceding any goals, and we can move forward with a positive mindset.

In the first half, there were situations where I could have faced forward, but I couldn't face forward, so I feel that I need to improve in that aspect. It is a harvest that I was able to play without giving up on what I should do as an individual and as a team throughout the 90 minutes, regardless of the situation, against a team that had become accustomed to giving up.

《Q&A》
Q: Did you feel that there was less interaction between the front three in terms of attacking?
"In terms of notation, it becomes a front three, but fundamentally it is about creating a numerical advantage wherever."
Even for players like Yoshito, Keigo, and Utaka, once they drop back to the midfield, they are skilled at moving forward and getting rid of their markers, so we tried to make the most of that characteristic.
In the first half, we were able to keep possession of the ball, but I think the factor that prevented us from moving forward was missing the chance to make vertical passes.
However, after encouraging them to try again with courage during halftime, the ball started to go forward, so I hope they continue to do that.
"I want to improve the quality of the finish by repeating it many times."

Q=What is the coaching about the decisive pass?
"Regarding the last pass, we are talking about wanting you to get into a position where you can make the last pass first."
When I tried to turn around, the opponent pressed from the front and the last line moved up. I wanted Kensuke to aim for the space behind that, but there were still moments when he missed that open space.

《Sendai - Susumu WATANABE Coach》
"I heard that around 1,500 Sendai supporters came despite the approaching typhoon."
I am truly grateful for the tremendous support and power you have given me.
The game was frustrating. I wanted to win and I think we could have taken it to a winning game.
I think the defense was very effective. I think we did a great job of putting pressure on the opponent from the front and then defending our own goal with resilience when that pressure was released.
In the second half, we were unable to pick up second balls until we conceded a goal, so there were ideas such as changing the lineup. However, I thought that Tokyo definitely wanted to win at home, so I decided to judge after seeing how the opponent played.
I regret that there is a reflection that if we had taken the initiative and moved first, we might have been able to make something happen, so that is frustrating.
However, we need to create a situation where we can firmly push forward and intentionally create opportunities, including the final accuracy, and train for it.
"I want to continue to be conscious of improving our position in the remaining 8 matches without looking down after today's result."

"Q: What about the scenes of conceding goals?"
"We gave the opponent too many corner kicks in today's match. First, we need to analyze that aspect."
There are advantages and disadvantages in both zone and man-to-man defense. There are definitely areas that should not be exploited, but I think it was a place that should not have been exploited. I have to do more work like bumping into the opponent who enters there. However, I think it's not good to be too nervous about conceding a goal."
