【Player/Coach Comments】
"Peter UTAKA"
(I felt that it was a difficult game to create a rhythm?)
"I think the biggest thing was giving away the lead from our own mistakes. We wanted to take the lead and approach the second half, but it turned into the opposite and resulted in this kind of situation."
(After Utaka entered in the second half, Okubo (Yoshito) and Nagai had been creating chances through good cooperation.?)
"Not only today, but I think Okubo (Yoshito) and Nagai always understand each other and create a good combination. If we had scored a goal at the start of the second half today, we could have played with more confidence, and the strikers would have gained confidence by scoring goals, so it might have been a different outcome if it had been scored there."
(Regarding goals?)
"There is an indescribable emotion when scoring a goal in this kind of situation. The best thing is to score a goal and win as a team. However, if my goal can give even a little positive energy to the fans and supporters for the next game, I think that would be good."
"Hyun Soo JANG"
(Although there were many goals conceded from mistakes)
"I still haven't fully organized the 4 goals conceded in my mind. I want to review the footage again and think about the mistakes related to the goals."
(After conceding a goal from a mistake, the game situation became difficult as the ball didn't circulate well)
"In the previous match, there were naturally mistakes in the style of football we were trying to play. In the Sendai match, we were able to play while covering those mistakes ourselves, but in today's game, we didn't have that luxury due to pressure from the opposing players. It's inevitable to make mistakes, but I wish we could have had more composure. Also, I think the problem lies in where the mistakes are made. In the Sendai match, the mistakes occurred in higher positions, but today there were many such plays in our own half, which led to conceding a goal."
(Did you feel any dilemma that you could have done more despite the pressure from the opponent?)
"I think everyone has the ability to do it, but today we lost points and lost our composure."
"Tokyo - Takayoshi AMMA Coach"
"First of all, I am very grateful to all the fans and supporters who came rushing in to fill the stands."
The match was a game in which we were cautious of Kashiwa's fast vertical attacks, crosses, and set plays. We were able to respond well in the beginning, but unfortunately, we made mistakes in moving the ball, which led to conceding a goal. Even after conceding, there were many instances where we played by focusing more on the opponent rather than looking at our teammates, and we need to reflect on that.
I think we were able to safely end the second half with a score of 0-1, but the team is trying to play aggressively, so we started attacking the opponent from the beginning of the second half.
As a result, we were able to create two scoring opportunities, but looking at the outcome, I feel that it was necessary to equalize there. Kashiwa, who is in the top position, has really been defending with their bodies on the line, and they seem prepared to prevent conceding goals there, so I think that's why they are in this position.
Although we lost the game, it was refreshing to see the players who had given up on the game against C Osaka and Kawasaki when the score difference was large, continue to desperately attack the opponent's goal until the end. Even when we were countered, Yoshito OKUBO, Keigo HIGASHI, and Ryoichi MAEDA showed a strong defensive posture, which I believe will lead to the next game.
Now, we are trying to give up our will and habits. We are trying to change as a team, so here we want to challenge the next game without dispersing again."
"Kashiwa - Takahiro SHIMOTAIRA Coach"
"I am happy that we were able to win the game at the Hitachidai home ground after a long time, with almost a full house of spectators. The game was played with only a two-day break, and some players played the full 90 minutes, but they gave their all without reducing their energy until the end. I think we were able to win with the overall team strength, including fresh players who avoided playing in previous matches."
In the first half, the game development was unsettled at the beginning, but we were able to settle down afterwards and score points. We were able to continue scoring points in the second half in a good manner. The players ran until the end, and especially in the defensive part, they continued to pressure from the front and were able to create good opportunities from there, which I am satisfied with. However, if I were to be greedy, the last goal conceded was very regrettable. I wish we could have finished the game without conceding any goals until the end, but that is still a challenge that we want to continue working on in the future.
"We have another game coming up soon, so we want to prepare for the next one."
Q=In the first 15 minutes of the second half, Tokyo took control of the pace. Was that expected?
"FC Tokyo has changed its system, and there were scenes where the ball was taken away and the pressure didn't work well in terms of coordination and combination, but the players corrected it."
Q=Please evaluate the reason for using player Takesato and today's performance.
"With only two days between the Emperor's Cup matches, I wanted to keep the three midfielders as fresh as possible. Among them, Makoto Otani, Kim Bog-kyong, and Take Tomitomi were given a rest from the Emperor's Cup, with the intention of having them available for the league matches as much as possible."
After telling Taketomi that he was in the starting lineup, I found out it was his birthday. I was hoping that this would motivate him, and he really delivered today with two goals. He was really fired up and it was great.
