【Player/Coach Comments】
"Rei HIRAKAWA"
"In the first half, we were able to play good football by moving the ball as a team. However, in the second half, we kept conceding goals from set pieces, which resulted in not being able to achieve victory. I am extremely disappointed."
As for my individual performance, I think I was able to showcase my strengths in terms of moving the ball, but I wish I had shown more initiative to push forward from there.
(After today's match, I will go to U-17, so I would like to ask the fans and supporters for a message)
I have had a very good experience in J3, so I think it is absolutely necessary for our same generation not to lose.
I want to express myself without hesitation, even against opponents from around the world.
Takefusa KUBO
"As a match, it was always a game where we were chasing, but we were able to create more time to possess the ball and I think we had a good game."
However, we conceded 3 goals from set pieces, so looking at the result alone, the score of 1-4 is not good, and that is regrettable.
(How is your performance as an individual?)
As an individual, I feel that my performance in J3 has been improving day by day.
Today wasn't bad either, but I didn't achieve results good enough to say that I was in good condition, so I want to always strive to achieve results no matter what state I'm in.
I also think that there were plays that I was able to do in my own way, and I was able to gain something that will lead to the next match.
After today's match, I will go to U-17, but I would like to ask the fans and supporters for a message.
I will do my best to fight against the world and bring back results that will make FC Tokyo fans and supporters happy."
"Summary of Coach Tadashi NAKAMURA's Press Conference"
"First of all, we would like to express our gratitude to the fans and supporters who came all the way to Tochigi amidst the J1 matches."
We would also like to express our gratitude for the atmosphere of the game venue that enhances the players' spirits.
I think the match was very tight.
Now, regarding the part of securely holding the ball that we have just started, there are many young players, but I believe they were able to confidently receive and move the ball.
However, I think we need to increase the number of times we connect until the finish, and I also think we need to improve our accuracy.
The flow of the game was not bad, but I feel that the team's weakness was exposed when we conceded 3 goals in the second half through set pieces.
Especially in the last game, where there were significant changes in the lineup, the young players still have a lot to learn in terms of competing for the first defender position, reacting to second balls, and closing down the opposition. Tochigi was superior in these aspects, and it is one of the challenges that we need to address. We will continue to work on these challenges in a positive manner in the future."
