【Player/Coach Comments】

"Hyun Soo JANG"
"After the previous match, we conceded a lot of goals, so we all raised our defensive awareness. I think that collective awareness led to the result of not conceding any goals."

(Regarding Iwata's attacking lineup)
Iwata not only has FW Kawamata, but also MF Adailton, who has speed, height, power, and other unique characteristics. We thoroughly analyzed that aspect.
In particular, I tried to focus and contain when Iwata MF Nakamura's pass became a threat, when he held the ball.
I think it ultimately became a factor in not allowing the opponent to score.

(There were moments when we launched a counterattack and pushed forward?)
I always try to attack whenever there is a chance. Today, I got fouled, which is frustrating and disappointing.

(Although it ended with no goals, what do you expect from the attacking unit?)
I don't expect anything from the attacking unit.
He always contributes a lot on the defensive side. That's why we were able to keep a clean sheet today."

《Keigo HIGASHI Player》
"I tried to keep receiving the ball, actively participating in the build-up, and continue challenging for the attack."
It was unfortunate that it didn't lead to a goal...

Takahagi is a player who always strives to play without becoming too offensive or defensive, and without leaning too much in one direction. I think we were able to achieve good communication.

It has been about 8 years since I last played as a defensive midfielder. It feels almost like starting over, but I believe it is important to practice more and build up from there."

"Tokyo - Takayoshi Amma Coach's Press Conference Summary"
"First of all, we would like to express our gratitude to all the fans and supporters who have given courage to the team at the stadium."
Iwata is a team with 19 goals out of 41 from set plays, and the remaining 10 goals from counterattacks.
I entered the game trying to respond in a way that would not allow the opponent to gain speed.
When it became a set play, we talked about doing what we should do and focusing until the second and third plays are cut off. In response to that, each player did what they should do as a team for the full 90 minutes.
This season, we faced strong Sendai, Kashiwa, and Iwata teams while aiming to keep our goal difference at zero by maintaining possession of the ball, as we had conceded many goals. I believe that being able to finish two out of those three matches without conceding a goal is a testament to the team's progress.

Having possession of the ball resulted in mistakes in the Kashiwa match, but it can be a valuable lesson.
We are positively taking the opportunity to pause with a 50% record against these three teams.

"We want to build up the speed together, including the players in the front line, in order to score."

Q=What is the evaluation of the contribution to the attack of player Higashi?
"By him confidently showing up in the midfield, even if the ball didn't go to him, there were times when it went to Yoshito or Ryoichi. I think it's because we were able to make vertical passes instead of just passing sideways, which didn't allow the opponent to focus on one target. If there had been mistakes there, it would have given the opponent momentum like in the Kashiwa game, so today his presence stopped Iwata's progress."

"Iwata - Manager Hiroshi NANAMI's Press Conference Summary"
"We changed from a 3-back formation in the previous match to a 4-back formation in today's game, and the players' positions have changed. However, what we conveyed to the players is to focus on the usual instructions rather than getting caught up in numbers and such."
I think various scenes will come up during the game, but I believe that by making clear judgments individually, we can play collectively.
I think our defense was able to compact very well. We didn't stretch out between the CB and SB, and between the CB and DM, so even in the remaining 15 or 20 minutes, when the game tends to become a counter battle, it was a very good game because it didn't become a rough game.
In terms of attack, we couldn't adjust to the opponent and the rhythm of possession didn't increase. There were also few movements from the front line, so our awareness of the opponent's back and the sides of the box was weak, which is regrettable. There was also a lack of awareness in shooting, and the accuracy of the final one-touch was not good, resulting in many scenes where we were blocked by the opponent.

Q=What is the evaluation of player Yamada, who started for the first time after transferring?
"There were many choices to go backwards. Even when entering the post, there were many scenes of back passes, and there were few attempts to aim for the back. It was not the play we expected. I had been playing as a defensive midfielder in Germany for about a year, so it felt like I had forgotten the atmosphere of the second row. What I told him was, 'Let's enter the game while relaxing as if it were rehabilitation,' but honestly, I don't think he did well. However, by starting the game, I think something new will sprout within him, and we have two weeks to adjust various things from now on, so I hope he can bring himself into a good condition by the Shizuoka Derby."

Q=He said that we were able to have a patient and compact defense, but is that also a factor in the few goals conceded this season?
"I think the reason is that the players are throwing themselves into it until the very end, utilizing their own characteristics within the constraints of discipline, and helping each other. Personally, I don't focus on numbers, but compared to the incredibly high number of 50 goals conceded last season, I think it's a very good number."
