[Player and Coach Comments]

《Yuichi MARUYAMA Player》
(Looking back on today's game)
"Regarding the scene where we conceded a goal, I lost to Lins. However, I think it was great that my desire to score and make up for it led to an equalizing goal. Even after Utaka was sent off, we were able to fight as a team, including the players on the bench, and that contributed to today's result. It was an away game, so we want to take this result positively and carry it over to the next home game."

(Was there any discussion with player Kiyoshi OTA about the scoring scene?)
"There was no particular discussion. Player Kiyoshi OTA always delivers excellent balls. It was such a wonderful ball that I just had to hit it."

(How did you feel entering the second half of the game?)
"Even though we were losing 0-1 in a numerical disadvantage situation, both the players and the coach believed that chances would come. It would have been better if we could have scored another goal, but I truly think we were able to fight calmly as a team."

(It was a development that did not make me feel disadvantaged numerically)
"Since Kofu did not come forward, we were able to develop a situation where we could have the ball. In terms of defense, I think we were able to defend well by including the player Hyun Soo JANG and saying 'Let's be careful only with the counterattack'."

Kosuke OTA
(It was a wonderful assist)
"I'm frustrated that I couldn't score from the direct free kick chance right before the end of the game... I didn't have it. Of course, I wanted to win, but I think I was able to do the minimum. However, I still feel disappointed."

(What were you thinking about your way of fighting after being scored first?)
"It's not like we were thinking about it after being scored first, but I think we were able to fight with a good balance throughout the game. I thought that if we continued that, the opponent's physical strength would decrease in the second half, so I wanted to finish the first half with no goals conceded if possible. Just before the end of the first half, UTAKA player was sent off, and in the situation where we had no choice but to play in the second half, I think what we had to do became clear. The truth is that I wanted to create our own style more in the flow of the game, but it's also important to score goals from set plays, so I think the result is decent."

(Wasn't set plays important precisely because we were at a numerical disadvantage?)
"We were focused on each kick, and we had a sense of being able to kick good balls in other situations as well. I want to share that with the players on the field and develop the ability to turn the game around."

"Summary of Tokyo Coach Takayoshi AMMA's Press Conference"
"I am truly grateful that many fans and supporters came to the venue in the rain and cheered for us."
In the past few games, we have been conscious of reducing goals conceded while having possession of the ball and trying to express it on the pitch. Although we lost against Kashiwa, we continued to challenge without wavering, resulting in a ball possession rate of 57% in the game against Iwata.
However, despite entering the attacking third 50 times, there was a challenge of not having any shots, so we approached the Kofu match with the intention of fixing that.
I think it was good that we were able to change the rhythm and launch multiple attacks, such as when we slowly connect the ball to the front line and when we quickly carry the ball to the goal front with a long pass from the last line, and we were able to take 6 shots in the first half.
However, we conceded a goal from a set piece and then had a player sent off, putting us in a numerical disadvantage.

During halftime, the players encourage each other, discussing specific strategies and drawing a roadmap until they can turn the game around. Even in this situation, they are determined to become a team that can win.
The players continued to challenge without reducing their activity until the very end of the second half and earned 1 point.
They are really changing on the inside, and I look forward to the next game.
The parts that ended in a tie and the parts where players were sent off are points of reflection, so there is still much to do. I want to continue working to improve the quality.

《Q&A》
Q=What measures did you take to deal with Kofu's attacks in the second half? It was a movement that didn't make us feel disadvantaged in numbers.
"First of all, we were in a situation where we were at a numerical disadvantage, so there was also a safe way to end it with a 0-1 score."
However, after seeing the atmosphere in the halftime locker room, I felt that we should choose to go for the win.
In a touch and move style, I think it made people look like there were more of them by continuously moving the ball and taking angles. Another reason why it seemed like there were more people was because of the quick transition when losing the ball and not allowing the forward players to receive good balls. Although we were countered a few times, we calmly created a 1v2 situation, including the goalkeeper, and I think it was good that we observed and responded to the opponent's situation until the very end."

"Summary of Manager Tatsuma Yoshida's Press Conference in Kofu"
"It was an ideal way to end the first half by scoring a goal from a set piece, despite having a few decisive moments in the rain. It is disappointing that we conceded a goal from a set piece and couldn't win. However, I think it is an important point that we need to cherish."

Yesterday, I didn't know until today that we had escaped the relegation zone in terms of goal difference. However, it is very important to surpass the opponent by at least one point in terms of points, and it is important to be able to maintain the possibility of survival on our own. Even though it is just one point, I think it is important that we were able to bring ourselves into a situation where it depends on us.
The player returned to the locker room with a defeated expression, but in a situation where frustration and negative emotions are easily expressed, it is important for the players to talk and exchange positive opinions and come together as one.
I couldn't even take the ball from the right side to the left side, despite having more players. It's not someone else's fault, it's our own ability. With 5 games left, I want to lift the team up so that we can properly escape from this situation and continue to win tough matches.
Takaya ISHIHARA announced his retirement and will hold a press conference here later, but I had hoped to create a situation where he could sit here and hold the press conference comfortably, but I couldn't do that either. I want to run through the remaining 5 games with the help of Ishihara, in order to make the 1 point we took today meaningful."

≪Q&A≫
Q=Why couldn't you attack despite not feeling a numerical advantage in the second half?
"I think the big thing was that we didn't connect the stolen ball to the right place calmly. Even though we had one more player, we knew that FC Tokyo would have the ball. We ended up pulling back a little, or rather, when it came to 'attacking', we didn't have anyone in the midfield and ended up sticking to the opponent's defensive line. We had too little time for ourselves, so we couldn't even move the clock hands forward, and we couldn't exhaust the opponent either."

Q=What is the evaluation of the team's generational change up to this point?
"The base of always having the best condition players does not change. Shimakawa, who came from J3, has become accustomed to the speed of J1 and played in the game, but today he couldn't pass the ball forward and ended up being on the defensive. However, I think the players are definitely growing, and rather than a change in generation, players who didn't have a bud on this stage are gradually reaching a level where they can play in J1. However, when the opponent became 10 players, the lack of ideas, speed, and experience were exposed. However, I think that is also room for improvement."
