[Player and Coach Comments]
《Cayman TOGASHI Player》
(It was a frustrating defeat)
"In the midst of everyone being tired from consecutive matches, I didn't feel like the opponent was doing particularly well. It was a disappointing turn of events in the very end, but instead of dwelling on this defeat, I think it's important to win the next match and regain the momentum. We had opportunities today, but I feel like the opponent had the upper hand in the end. The challenge is simply to win the next match. I want to avoid overthinking."
(I started for the first time since the Shonan match)
"The coach told me to give it my all in 45 minutes. While everyone else was tired from consecutive matches, I felt fresher than the other players who had been playing, so I wanted to contribute more in those given 45 minutes."
(I think we have another game in 3 days, what should we do as a team?)
"Even if the members change, we must continue to do what we should do in both offense and defense without hesitation. Each individual should be aware of this and approach the next game. I think the soccer we are playing now is a winning soccer, and I believe we are a winning team. If we can win the next home Levain Cup, I think we can regain our momentum, so I want to make good preparations."
《Yuichi MARUYAMA Player》
(Looking back on today's game)
"I feel that it was a very difficult match. We were able to fight as a team with a sense of unity, and we were also able to create a rhythm from solid defense."
However, a small mistake led to a goal. It's frustrating and we need to fix it in the future. We want to learn from this result and move on to the next.
(What did you focus on as a defender?)
"The pitch became slippery because it started raining, so it was easier to move the ball. We knew that the opponent would use long balls frequently, so we were prepared to win second balls. We were able to play as we had imagined to some extent, but we were defeated by the opponent's cunningness in the scene where we conceded a goal."
(Looking ahead)
"The team's coordination has improved and the condition has also gotten better. Rather than viewing today's result negatively, I want to build up from training with a positive mindset."
"Summary of Tokyo Coach Kenta HASEGAWA's Press Conference"
"It is difficult to accept this result because it was not a game development that would lead to a loss."
C Osaka is a team that fights really tenaciously and picks up second balls without any gaps. We were aware before the game that we needed to be careful of the opponent's long ball attacks and second balls, but we ended up conceding a goal due to our half-hearted play.
Of course, it was a game with only 2 days of rest, so we couldn't fully prepare in training, but we discussed it in meetings and so on. We were able to do it to some extent until then, but in the end, if there is a gap between the GK and DF, I think it will lead to goals like that.
So, I think we need to train hard to raise the level of play and make sure we don't make the same mistakes again and avoid them.
In terms of attack, I think we were able to break through several times in good form, so we need to improve the accuracy of our final passes and finishes. We have to continue working hard in training."
"Summary of C Osaka Manager YOON Jong Hwan's Press Conference"
"First of all, I am grateful to everyone who came to the stadium despite the bad weather. I thought it wouldn't be an easy game against FC Tokyo, who are on a 4-game winning streak in the league. Looking back, it was indeed not an easy match. However, our players showed great concentration and approached the game with patience. Despite various situations and mistakes, they took their chances and secured the victory, which is a great strength. Of course, I don't think we can always play well in this tough schedule. Today, they played better defensively than offensively. It was a long-awaited clean sheet, and all the players were conscious and focused throughout the game. It's a tough schedule, but we want to give our best in every single game."
<Q&A>
Q=In the early stages of the league, we saw a lot of goals conceded, but in the second half of the last match and this match, I think the defensive organization has become more stable. Do you feel any sense of accomplishment in that regard?
"I think the most important thing is concentration. The four defenders maintained their concentration for the entire 90 minutes. Of course, it's not just because the four of them played well that we didn't concede any goals. I think we were able to maintain our concentration for the full 90 minutes thanks to our defensive efforts from the front. Because they did a good job with the defensive work from the front, the players at the back were also able to maintain their concentration for the full 90 minutes."
