【Player/Coach Comments】
Kento HASHIMOTO
"Since Tosu throws the ball into the two-top early, make sure not to let them put the ball in a good position. Also, be aware of pressing back when the ball is received."
Wasn't that well done?
I think we were able to create some good opportunities in the first half as well.
However, if we cannot decide there, we will struggle against opponents like Tosu.
The second half became a challenging game.
How to break down the opponent who has been drawn...
Personally, I believe that if we can break through with a mid-range shot, we might be able to save the team.
"We must work hard and build up from practice."
(As a comeback match?)
"It wasn't bad. But we couldn't win..."
And, in the second half, I was about to have a cramp in my calf, so I was substituted.
I haven't given up on anything yet.
"I want to improve my condition even more"
"Masato MORISHIGE Player"
"Unable to win, it feels frustrating."
I had come close to "just a little more" at the finishing part, but I couldn't break through the opponent's goal.
Not bad as a team. I think each individual needs to push themselves.
(What is the intention of breaking from the side?)
"Sagan Tosu also responded by putting numbers on the side."
I took a few shots and there were also crosses...
I feel that it would have been better if we had more coordination and timing and could have attacked from behind.
As a team, we weren't bad, so I patiently held on at the back with the mindset of "at the very least, a 0-0 draw" and waited for the front to score.
The opponent's chances were mostly due to our mistakes. Other than that, I think there were no issues.
If we were able to respond to Tosu's front three, it would have been good if we could have made a difference in attack with one or two more.
"Summary of Tokyo - Kenta HASEGAWA Coach's Press Conference"
"We approached this round with the intention of stopping the consecutive defeats from the previous round and aiming for a victory at home, but the goal was quite far away."
The Tosu side also created a solid block, so it was quite difficult to break this block, so we as players decided to approach the game by shaking the opponent while looking for opportunities.
However, today, I was too cautious and couldn't take advantage of the timing to strike even though there were moments to exploit.
I think it was necessary to break through from the side because it is difficult when the space is eliminated by being pulled.
In the first half, we were able to create shooting opportunities from crosses, but I think we need to be able to unsettle the opponent more in the center and on the sides in order to break through their solid defense.
However, if we think positively, we were able to gain an additional point.
Of course, in the situation where Hiroshima won yesterday, we have to somehow keep up with them and fight positively in the remaining 9 matches. Today, we were able to take a half step forward.
Although there will be a break from now on, we want to finish in a higher position as much as possible and prepare thoroughly.
Q&A
Q=What were the factors that led to being pushed back by the opponent in the second half, despite being able to attack with momentum in the first half?
"I think he might be a little tired. It looked like he had a power down from the bench."
After pushing from the first half, the game turned into a situation where we had to retreat due to the opponent's counterattacks, and there were players who still had fatigue from the consecutive matches in the summer.
I wanted to power up in the remaining 15 minutes, 20 minutes, but I couldn't do it.
"We will also discuss and investigate with the staff about the cause."
Q=I think we were able to create a solid attack when both fullbacks pushed forward, but the number of times that happened today was fewer, wasn't it?
"I couldn't effectively utilize both fullbacks."
In the first half, Hashimoto had many opportunities to possess the ball in a good shape.
However, if we could use the space beside the opponent's three defensive midfielders a little more smoothly, we should have been able to use the wings in a state of momentum.
However, there were many instances where knocking occurred, and I couldn't use the sides effectively. Hashimoto also had some parts where the tempo didn't match, maybe because it was his first game in a while.
"Summary of Tosu and Massimo Ficcadenti's press conference"
"I felt that the first half was a difficult match."
Once they had a chance, and we didn't have much of a chance.
However, we were able to change the flow in the second half. We were able to create many opportunities in the second half, but I think we need to improve the accuracy in the final part.
The team is currently in a difficult situation. The players are working hard, but we need to train even harder to improve our condition.
"I myself am familiar with many players and staff at this stadium, so today was nostalgic."
