【Player/Coach Comments】
"Ryoichi MAEDA player"
(Looking back at the scoring scene)
"It was great that Muroya gave me a good ball and the shot flew in a good direction."
However, the team lost, so it's unfortunate.
The first goal of the season was late.
"I couldn't win today, and I wanted to contribute to the team's strength earlier."
(Looking back on the season)
"I was given the opportunity, but I couldn't make the most of it."
It was a season where I felt a lack of ability.
(Message to all fans and supporters)
"You have always given us passionate support. Today, we received a lot of support as well, and we sincerely thank you for the support throughout the year."
"Yojiro TAKAHAGI"
(I think it was a game where we were able to form an attacking shape)
"We were able to play with the consciousness of moving forward as a team. I think we were able to show what we have been doing this season."
(I think it was a game that presented challenges for the coming year. Do you have any thoughts on what you're thinking now?)
"First of all, I feel that it's tough if we can't maintain the same level of energy and high-quality play in every game. I think it's necessary to approach all 34 games with a similar motivation."
(The final ranking was 6th. Regarding this ranking?)
"We were able to compete for the championship in the first half of the season, but we couldn't win easily in the second half. Since it's a total of 34 games in one season, we have to constantly play similar games under the pressure of competing for the championship. I'm not satisfied, but I think I can see the future to some extent."
"Tokyo - Manager Kenta HASEGAWA Press Conference Summary"
"The good thing today was that until the very end, we showed our fans and supporters our determination to demonstrate our strength and our attitude of approaching the goal. Even when we conceded a goal, we didn't look down and didn't lower our tension, and we were able to fight until the end. We were able to apply the lessons learned from the previous match."
During this season, there were games where it was difficult to score goals, but today, until the very end, the players showed their determination and I think they did well. Speaking about the game, I think it was a result and development that symbolizes this season. It was a great shame, especially the second goal, as Urawa is a team that is good at exploiting such opportunities. We also talked about not giving them any chances before the game.
After taking one point and getting the game going, it is a soccer rule that you have to concentrate for a few minutes, but we were also hit in such a place. Also, it was a shame that we conceded the second goal very quickly. However, as a subsequent form, I think it is growth that we were able to create chances against the opponent who dropped back, and it was a very important point for the team that we were able to score one point in such a situation, and (Ryoichi) Maeda showed his determination at the end.
Despite the fact that we finished in 6th place, we received a tremendous amount of support and encouragement from our fans and supporters until the summer. However, we were unable to meet those expectations in the end. I personally feel that this past year has made me realize my own weaknesses and shortcomings, and I believe that the Tokyo team must become even stronger.
However, I think it was a year where we were able to demonstrate our strength throughout the season, so I want to rest well and have a good camp again, and aim for the top and fight for the title next season.
Dear fans and supporters, thank you very much for your passionate support throughout the year. We truly believe that your warm support has pushed us forward. We are grateful. Thank you for the year.
Q=I think the first half of this season was really great in terms of results and content, but what do you think was the factor that prevented it from continuing for the whole season?
"I think it was a big deal that we couldn't develop new players or acquire new weapons as a team. Diego OLIVEIRA and Ryo NAGAI are very fast, and although players like Higashi, Omori, and Tabane worked very hard on the side, we needed another attacking option or a different type of player. Ideally, we should have developed a young player for that role, but we couldn't do that, and it became a crucial factor in the second half. If we could have expanded our options with more players, it could have led to a different outcome."
"Summary of Urawa - Oswaldo OLIVEIRA Coach's Press Conference"
"Today, there are many things I want to comment on, not just the game. I would like to express my gratitude for your patience and at the same time, apologize for making you wait. Today, there was a retirement ceremony for player Hirakawa. He has been a dedicated player for this club for many years, and I think it was a wonderful retirement ceremony that was fitting for him. Watching a player retire always stirs up emotions. Especially when they have worn the same jersey for many years, it can be even more emotionally moving."
Football players, I think, experience two deaths in their lives. When they actually die, I think retirement is also a form of death. That's how important it is for players.
The match was a tough and difficult one against a very high-quality opponent.
The opponent created many chances while playing well. We were lucky to score with our chances. It was a game after a long time, and players who returned from injury played on the pitch today. When we can't surpass the opponent with technique, we have to win with motivation and guts. And today's game was won thanks to the efforts of the players who played on the pitch. I want to dedicate this victory to Hirakawa.
Q=What is the summary of the Q League matches?
"I think this season's J1 had a very high level of skill, with strong teams."
When I came to Japan, Hiroshima had a big lead in points. Hiroshima couldn't maintain it, and Kawasaki accumulated points with a way of playing that gave value to their own play and ultimately won the championship. However, I think Kawasaki is the best team this season, so I think they deserve to win. Besides these two teams, Tokyo, C Osaka, and Nagoya also have wonderful players, and I think they are very good teams.
I think the level of the game they played with them was very high. I think Japanese soccer as a whole has improved a lot. I think Japan has become a country that exports players, and I think the national team has also become stronger. I think the future of Japanese soccer is bright."
