"Tokyo U-23 Tetsu Nagasawa Manager's Press Conference Summary"
"First of all, I am truly grateful that the field was prepared for soccer, and the management and Tokyo supporters worked together."
I told the players that it's not just about being able to play soccer naturally, but also about being supported by the efforts of various people. I feel grateful for that.
We appreciate the support from the supporters who came from Tokyo, but we are sorry that we couldn't deliver the points.
The Fukushima team showed courage from the beginning of the match.
It seems like we have been observing the opponent's condition, and in the midst of the opponent being organized, I think that in this sport, we cannot reach the goal without passing or dribbling through.
Including Fukushima's PK, we had two vertical passes and also challenged by taking away two of our left side positions for the second goal. Although we had opportunities to play the ball vertically, we chose to go horizontally.
In the second half, we made solid adjustments and were conscious of the attacking direction. We also adjusted the number of players to avoid becoming too defensive, and were able to create some chances.
However, since it is a professional world, it is too late to show courage after being two points behind. It became a game where we could learn from that aspect.
If you create opportunities and make sure to score when it matters, the results would have been different. Instead of completely denying today's game, I want to improve on finishing and show courage, and approach the next game.
(It was the first goal of the season. Do you feel that there is room for improvement in terms of attack?)
"It's more of a sport where you have to seize the big chance of a one-on-one situation, rather than just scoring goals."
Including the final battle, a certain form has been achieved. I think the key is to clarify what is important.
Simply, it means finding the timing to put the ball vertically and peel it off without showing any openings to the opponent, and then attacking. It is not a virtue to not have the ball taken away.
There is a next step to challenge and switch even if the ball is taken away, but I slowed down a little there.
This is a part where we have to learn properly and understand it well. On the other hand, the difference lies in that area with the top members, so if we all confirm it again and keep doing it, I think it will lead to the next step."
