"Summary of Tokyo U-23 Coach Tetsu NAGASAWA's Press Conference"
(Looking back on the match)
"Despite the fact that many fans and supporters came all the way from Tokyo to cheer us on, we ended up losing in a comeback defeat, which is a regrettable result."
I thought the game would be decided in the second half, as the first half was a calm game with Tokyo and the opponent taking turns in their rhythm.
In the meantime, we were able to break through the center early in the second half and take the lead.
However, afterwards, when the opponent launched an offensive, we became passive and our overall movement after regaining possession of the ball became sluggish. If we were able to firmly dispossess the opponent, their momentum could have been contained, but I think we were unable to do that. The opponent had many players with ideas in front of the goal, and we were outmaneuvered.
I think we were inferior to the opponent in the game situation today, so I talked to the players after the game.
It is important to play our own game, but we also want to be conscious of winning each battle in every situation and carry it forward.
