【Player/Coach Comments】
Diego OLIVEIRA
(It was a wonderful goal. Looking back on it again)
"I am very happy to be able to win with my own goal. It is very valuable to be able to face the next game in a good flow."
Regarding the goal, I chose to take a direct shot because Hiroshi OMORI gave me a nice pass.
I believe this victory was achieved by the entire team, including the members who are practicing in Kodaira today, as well as the teammates who are here.
(Did you anticipate the pass from Omori?)
"Omori is a very high-quality player. He has given me many good balls and created chances since last season. Today's goal, he gave me a gentle pass when I requested the ball, and I was able to play with the same image."
(We capitalized on the opponent's mistake and turned it into a goal. Were you conscious of putting pressure?)
"Our playing style is to apply pressure from the front line and go for the ball. I think that strength came out. I think there will be even tougher battles ahead, but I want to improve our accuracy even more than that."
《Keigo HIGASHI Player》
"In terms of defense, we were talking about playing compactly throughout the 90 minutes. I think it was very good because it ultimately led to victory."
(Until Jael was brought in, we were being pushed back by the opponent)
"In the first half, we had more attacking time. In the second half, I think we were able to turn the tide in the attacking aspect because Jael came in."
It was good that we were able to switch our attack in the second half and score the opening goal, as both teams were relying on fast attacks as their weapon.
Jael's entry has changed the flow significantly, and I think we were able to fight for 90 minutes by communicating on the pitch.
(Hiroshima won and took the lead)
"The battle has just begun, and we must tighten our focus at times like this and prepare for the next match."
There are many points to reflect on just from today's game, and I am still hungry for victory. As the captain, I want to lead the team and continue to fight in the next game.
"Tokyo - Summary of Coach Kenta HASEGAWA's Press Conference"
"It was a difficult game, but I think the players fought patiently and were able to achieve victory."
"We also have the Levain Cup in the middle of the week, so we want to prepare thoroughly."
(Regarding defensive evaluation)
"I thought that the point would be the ball and approach, so I think the players understood that part well and played today. There were some dangerous situations like middle shots, but they fought very focused on cross balls and side responses."
(What was the impact of not having Kubo on the team?)
"I think there was a significant impact (laughs). He had been making a lot of changes, so without a player like him, Omori really showed his strengths in today's match. Hiroshima also had a solid defense, so breaking through was not an easy task. But our front two players showed great intensity from the first half, which I believe led to the final goal."
"Of course, I believe that if Tachibana returns energetically, we can bring about various changes."
"Hiroshi JOFUKU Press Conference Summary (Hiroshima)"
"I would like to express my gratitude to all the people who came to the night game on weekdays, and I am truly sorry that we could not meet their expectations. That's all I can say."
I had expected the match to be a tough one where the opponent wouldn't be able to show their strengths, and since the opponent has very strong individual abilities, they did well in terms of how to prevent them from showing those strengths.
The result of both teams having 3 shots each is unclear to the viewers, but I believe it is the outcome of a fierce battle where both teams gave their all.
Our challenge is to connect from defense to attack.
I wanted to be able to go deeper into the attacking third from a slightly earlier time, rather than just at the end.
"It was a game where we could see the challenges, so if we can build on this for the next game, it would be great."
(Regarding the scene of the goal conceded immediately after the substitution)
"I can't say anything because I haven't reviewed the footage, but it seems that the cross ball bounced or something, and the low ball rolled to Sho SASAKI. He probably tried to control it with his head and it went to Diego OLIVEIRA."
We may have to praise the quality of being able to decide there directly, but accidents like that can happen when we are pushed in many times. I have a feeling that I wanted to play soccer in the area a little earlier.
However, I recognize that the players did not leave gaps in defense and made efforts to neutralize the opponent's strengths, and I do not deny their hard work. We need to improve the quality from there onwards.
