"Summary of Tokyo U-23 Coach Tetsu NAGASAWA's Press Conference"
"First of all, despite having a top team match today, it was very reassuring to see fans and supporters come to cheer us on."
I am relieved because I was able to deliver victory.
As for the match, it was crucial to see how far we, with an average age of 17 for the starting lineup, could challenge Kumamoto, who is currently leading with 6 consecutive wins.
I believed that we could create opportunities by not stopping our feet and positively taking the ball away from Kumamoto, who builds up their attack.
We conceded one goal, but we continued to play forward without backing down and managed to score two goals.
We fought fiercely without fear and made our way towards the goal, which is commendable.
Despite having the chance to score the third and fourth goals, we must reflect on our inability to convert them and continue to train harder.
The game continues, but our goal is to send as many players as possible to the top team.
I also know the pressure of fighting for the region like Kumamoto, but the U-23 players are also doing it, gritting their teeth and risking their lives.
"We also want to respond to the passionate feelings of the U-18 players who are trying to seize their chance and continue to do our best."
