"Summary of Tokyo U-23 Coach Tetsu Nagasawa's Press Conference"
"Today, despite having a J1 League match in Sendai, I am extremely grateful to the fans and supporters who created an atmosphere where we could compete at Nishigaoka. I am even more thrilled that we were able to deliver a victory."
Numazu has a strength of attacking in a wave by picking up the loose balls while using fast vertical soccer and direct plays, so today we approached the game by focusing on whether we can move the ball forward instead of kicking it easily after picking up the loose balls.
The defense line consisted of youth players with an average age of 16-17, but as they experienced games like this multiple times, they gradually improved their ability to make decisions during difficult periods of the game without confusion. When it was time to defend, they defended, and when it was time to connect, they connected. Their level has been gradually increasing. Hatano also held his ground, and the defense line performed well.
Overall, the start was slow and small. In the previous match, we were able to move strongly without fear of taking risks, and we were able to work on returning the ball when it didn't come out. I think that aspect was sluggish today. However, it was good that we were able to control the game firmly without rushing.
The game is still ongoing. Let's continue the challenge for the next one."
