"Summary of Tokyo U-23 Coach Tetsu Nagasawa's Press Conference"

"Whenever we play at Ajinomoto Field Nishigaoka, I always feel grateful because we are allowed to run on this field thanks to our fans and supporters."

Today's game was a game where we ran until the end, but the immaturity of not being able to finish the last part became a challenge. As for the game content, I think the difference between the first half and the second half is the difference in transition. After taking the ball, if we rest, it will be taken again, and we will be attacked in waves and concede goals. In the second half, the team corrected what was done to us and approached the game. After taking the ball, the players' faces were up and the reactions of the surrounding players became faster. Before the system and coordination with the opponent, I think that a solid situational judgment and mentality in any situation have a big impact on the game, and in that sense, it was a second half where we were able to find the opponent's gaps and move the ball forward.

The end of the match became a shootout, but I think it's about "winning or losing". Coach Kenta Hasegawa also continues to say, "Absolutely don't go into defense," so I want to continue like this in the future. The average age of the team today is 19. There are still immature aspects, but even when the registered players come out, I feel that everyone can share the soccer that Coach Hasegawa imagines, where we all take the ball.

Finally, today Kataller Toyama had a great effort from academy graduates Teppei Usui and Yoji Sasaki. Both of them are part of our Tokyo family, so we would be happy if you could support their future success."
