"FC Tokyo U-23 Tetsu NAGASAWA Coach Press Conference Summary"

"I would like to express my gratitude to those who came to watch the U-23 game despite having a J1 match in Matsumoto, and at the same time, I am very sorry that we couldn't earn any points."

The game started with a bit of confusion due to the wind and the picking up of second balls. We were a little puzzled by the condition of the turf and the wind at the beginning, but once we settled down, the game progressed smoothly and it became a matter of whether we could convert our chances or not. While the opponent scored a beautiful goal from a cross ball on the far side, we also had opportunities in the first half with Miyazaki's volley shot and shots in front of the goal, and Takumi NAKAMURA had a couple of chances as well. I think that was the decisive factor in those aspects.

It is a part that is currently a challenge even for the top team, but we are able to go up to the shooting. In terms of competition, "whether to decide or not" is a group of U-23 that must show their own tasks and existence individually, not as a team, so in that sense, it is still unsatisfactory.

Certainly, not only scoring in difficult times, but also being able to apply strong pressure when pushed back and being able to push back, but somehow we completely dropped back and conceded a goal that was opened up, so while learning from such situations, I want to seek "what can I do as an individual". Regarding today's game, we also focused on the battle for the ball, but there are times when we dominate and times when it's tough, and I think a player who can dominate in those tough times can survive in this world alone. I want to strive with high standards.

Just in U-23, we are working to connect with Coach Hasegawa's soccer, so if we can produce results here, the path to the top team will open up. Especially in the crucial games towards the end of the league, where the ranking is at stake, if even one player can emerge from here, they will have a chance immediately if they can make a difference in a game like today. In that sense, the content was not bad, but in terms of personal step-up, it was a game that could have been a little better.

"I haven't won for a while, so I really want to win the next Kumamoto match somehow."
