"Summary of FC Tokyo U-23 Coach Tetsu Nagasawa's Press Conference"

"First of all, I am grateful that about 2,000 people came to watch. Many fans and supporters of Gamba Osaka U-23 also came to watch, and I think the players were able to play in a good environment."

The game, while Gamba Osaka U-23 was solidly built, we tried to create a difference in the switching part. We were able to control the switching phase throughout the game and were able to determine the spaces to jump out momentarily. I think this is because we have been training throughout the year with the entire top team and we were able to convey the concept of the top team to the U-18 players. It became the last moment, but I think it was very good that the "judgment" part became accurate.

Although it is still an immature aspect to concede a goal at the start of the second half, we have been focusing on scoring and winning, so I think we were able to play positively without looking down even after conceding.

Throughout the season, I feel that young players, including U-18 players, are growing strong despite the changing lineup in every game. I have also been a coach for the youth development age group, so I didn't realize how much potential young players have until I experienced being the coach for the U-23 team this season. Today, Nattawut scored two goals, but he has also faced considerable difficulties to get to this point. There was a period when he couldn't play in the games, but he started scoring goals after being given the opportunity towards the end of the season.

In yesterday's J1 League, we ended the season with just one step away from winning the championship. However, I told the players, "Today is not the last game of the season, but the start of the game for you." They entered the game with this mindset. I think it was a good start for them towards the next season, and also a good start for players like Insoo YU and Thales who will play for other teams.

However, I believe that it is not just about winning or losing as a team, but whether it contributes to the victory of the J1 League and how it is as an individual. Therefore, I think that we need to continue working hard every day to produce even stronger individuals."
