[Player and Coach Comments]

Kensuke NAGAI
(Looking back at the shooting scene)
"Player Abe skillfully passed the ball behind."
After that, I carried the ball inside and took a shot with a body position that allows me to shoot far or near.
I was planning to kick it far until halfway, but I was stopped in the same situation in the Shimizu match, so I chose to go near because I thought it would have more power.

(It felt like a momentary pause when player Abe made his move)
"I thought player Abe would pass it to his feet."
"However, since he passed it behind me, I was able to readjust my movement and continue towards the goal."

(Regarding defensive performance)
"Keeping a clean sheet gives the team confidence."
I want to continue this and also want to be conscious of defending firmly together from the front line to the defense.

(Regarding the victory without conceding a goal)
"We were able to win at home and stop the losing streak. Honestly, I'm relieved."
We were unable to score the first goal as a team, so we were strongly aware of that.
I thought it would be the key to today's game, and I think the team gained momentum after scoring the first goal."

"Go HATANO Player"
(Looking back on the match)
"It was a game that we absolutely wanted to win."
I'm glad that we were able to win without conceding any goals.

(I have been starting in the last few games, but)
"There are things that you won't understand unless you play in the game."
I think I have gained confidence in the past few games and have been able to spend fulfilling time.

(The team had been conceding goals)
"There are certainly games where we concede goals, but our goal as a GK is to finish every game without conceding."
Today, it was good to be able to produce visible results in that sense."

(I think it was difficult for the team's motivation to disappear without the Levain Cup Final Round)
"All the players have been preparing for today's match with high motivation even though the Final Round was canceled."
I was conscious of shouting on the pitch and fighting as usual, and I think I was able to show myself well in today's match.

"Tokyo - Summary of Coach Kenta HASEGAWA's Press Conference"
"I think we fought patiently and tried to win at home together. I appreciate everyone for sticking with it and fighting until the end."

(The aim of today's formation against Sapporo, who are good at attacking with width, is)
"While using width is one aspect, today's starting lineup can also be considered as a zero top formation, using vertical passes and combinations. Rather than focusing on using width, we will focus on the transition between offense and defense, and neutralize the marking by allowing players in good form such as Chanathip, Komai, and Arano to move freely. So, we need to be conscious of how to manage them."
In the first half, there was one dangerous scene that was turned back to Lucas FERNANDES, but other than that, they were not able to enter the box. After winning the ball, Sapporo continued to have scenes where Tokyo couldn't move forward by switching from the front line, but the goal scene was a typical Tokyo attack where Abe created space and utilized Nagai's speed.
There was actually an intention to push more, but we were able to score points by patiently fighting and utilizing our weapons.

(Stopped the losing streak at 4)
"I feel regretful that the Levain Cup Final Round has been postponed, but the players showed their determination in this match. They also successfully led the team, including the veterans, in terms of mental preparation. If we continue to win from here, we still have a chance to qualify for the ACL next season and go to Qatar. I believe that today's victory will contribute to achieving victories in the upcoming season."

(A showdown between two coaches who have achieved 200 victories. After actually facing each other, my current impression is)
"I am very happy to have defeated Sapporo led by Coach PETROVIC."
It was a game where we had to either attack or be attacked every time, so if we lost our concentration for a moment, we would be defeated at any time. It was good for the team to be able to compete against Sapporo, led by coach Petrovic, in this way.
"Today, I want to express my gratitude for the players' hard work."

"Sapporo Petrovic Press Conference Summary"
"Today, we showed our aggressive and attacking style of play from the beginning and throughout the 90 minutes. I think the opponent only had scoring opportunities, but we were unable to convert our 3 or 4 clear chances. Recently, our performance has been good and the results have been gradually improving, so we wanted to continue that trend. Unfortunately, today the performance and the result did not go hand in hand. However, I think the players expressed themselves well and played their own style of football."

(What do you think is missing when teams like Tokyo and Nagoya continue to have a flow where they cannot score even when they have scoring opportunities?)
"The simple solution is to spend a lot of money to acquire players who can score. However, we don't have that kind of funding, and today we have three college graduates playing, with Kojiro NAKANO, Tsuyoshi OGASHIWA, and college students participating this season."
Our style is to play aggressive soccer while nurturing players. It is cruel to expect them to score goals. Effort is important to score goals, but talent also matters. If Musashi SUZUKI had stayed with the team, we might have achieved 15-20 points more this season. Soccer is about whether you can score goals or not. There is no point in lamenting the absence of such players.
We need to have a solid discussion with the president and the strengthening team about what kind of players we will reinforce for the next season. In the three seasons that Sapporo has played against Tokyo, Kashima, and Yokohama FM, every match has become a game where the outcome could go either way. This is a significant growth. In order for the team to consistently compete at the top, we need to make the necessary preparations.
While being an interesting presence in the league, the reality is that sometimes we win against the top teams and sometimes we lose. If we are aiming for the top next season, we need to solve this issue. I think it shows respect towards us that teams like Nagoya and Tokyo choose to strengthen their defense and go for a quick attack against Sapporo and execute it."
