Yuto NAGATOMO
(Thoughts on playing in the J-League after 11 years)
"It was fun."
J-League itself is for the first time in 11 years. Not only playing in Japan, but also wearing the blue and red uniform in Tokyo and playing at home, I was just so happy and thrilled.
(What kind of preparations have you made in the past week?)
"At first, it was a separate menu for conditioning, but for the three days before the game, I was able to join the team as a whole."
"Not only did I try to fit in with the team, but I also conveyed to everyone the need to increase our intensity towards victory and started practicing."
(The matchup with FOGUINHO was impressive)
"At the scouting stage, I thought FOGUINHO was a very good player with speed."
However, I personally am the type of person who gets fired up the more skilled the opponent is, so I approached today's match with the mindset of winning every single game.
(Back to the beginning)
"Coming back here is not only to remember the beginning, but also to combine the number 0, which represents returning to the origin, with the number 5 that I wear."
"I entered the pitch again to show Nagatomo, who never loses in one-on-one defense, with ambition and passion."
(During the match, many voices could be heard, but what kind of words were being said)
"During the match, a considerable number of words were spoken, so it is difficult to say "what" exactly, but I conveyed details of tactics, second balls, compacting the lineup and the team as a whole, and going forward from the front.
However, number one was giving everyone a voice to raise their motivation.
In the previous match, I felt like there was a lack of confidence and intensity when watching from the stands. So, I consciously tried to encourage everyone with positive voices to boost their motivation."
(Awareness of back pass)
"Because the pitch condition was bad due to the rain, everyone was aware of moving forward instead of receiving pressure from back passes, and I was also calling for us to go further and further forward."
(How was Ajinomoto Stadium after 11 years?)
"It was thrilling after 11 years. And it felt good."
I felt the memories and ambitious feelings of that time at the Kodaira Ground, but I felt them even more at Ajinomoto Stadium.
"I played with the feeling of not wanting to lose to my younger self at that time."
(The family must have been happy too)
"I was happy to come to Japan and deliver a victory."
Diego OLIVEIRA
(Looking back at the great first goal)
"It was a goal where the ball came from Ogawa, I was able to keep it well and score with my left foot."
(When I kicked it, I was convinced it would go in)
"When a goal is scored, you can tell from the feeling the moment you kick it, and today, I had a very good image the moment I hit it."
Especially today, the pitch was wet due to the rain, so I was able to make shots exactly as I imagined on a good course."
(After trapping, I shot without bouncing, but was it on target?)
"The pass to me was a little off, so I tried to trap it with my right foot, but the ball floated a bit. However, as soon as it floated, I decided to take the shot."
(The second goal was scored with a header from player Insoo YU's cross)
"Before the cross came in, I was on the far side, but when player Insoo YU cut inside, I decided to make a near post run. The ball came to me as I had hoped, and I am very happy to have scored."
(The best part of today's game as a team was that it was completely different from the previous match against Kashiwa.
"I hate losing, so after losing to Kashiwa, I felt extremely frustrated."
Kashiwa couldn't catch up after conceding a goal in the first half.
On the contrary, today we were able to take the lead early on and score additional points, which allowed us to have an ideal game progression."
(Nagatomo has returned to Tokyo, but what kind of player is he?)
"It goes without saying that he is a player who has been active in Europe for a long time and is a current member of the Japanese national team. He also has excellent technical skills."
A player with great leadership who leads the team and always gives encouragement.
I was able to approach the game in a way that reflects everyone's feelings. I think we have gained new and wonderful strength.
(I think the number of goals will increase in the future)
"Not only his assists, but he is also contributing greatly to the team's strength. Of course, I hope he will provide many assists as well."
"Tokyo - Summary of Coach Kenta HASEGAWA's Press Conference"
"There is nothing to say today."
I think the players gave their all and played a game that made us feel the heat for 90 minutes, so there is really nothing more to say.
(The reason we were able to play this kind of game)
"Of course, I think it's because of Yuto Nagatomo's presence."
A player who pulls the team with his/her emotions and was able to work hard during very focused training.
In that sense, if we can fight firmly today, I feel that we can have enough momentum to make this kind of game development possible, which I felt during this week's training.
I think Yuto was at the center of it.
"I felt that when one passionate player enters, it spreads throughout the entire team, and it's a mysterious thing."
(There were consecutive away games, and it was the first victory at TOHO S. in about 3 months)
"I think we need to continue playing this kind of game so that the fans and supporters can fight together. We need to play a passionate game that draws the fans and supporters in. It wasn't a high-pressure start from the beginning, but gradually our determination surpassed the opponent's and led to goals."
It is not just about playing football with feelings, but also about firmly developing tactics. I thought that the passionate feelings at the core were the most lacking in this team this season.
In matches where the stakes are high, like in the Levain Cup, we play fantastic games. However, in matches where the stakes are not as high, we have been inconsistent and unable to fully showcase our abilities. But with Nagatomo's presence, the entire team has been energized. I think he has become a trigger that has propelled us forward with great momentum.
"I want to prepare for each game based on this feeling, attitude, and this match, so that I can fight firmly in the remaining 9 league matches."
(What kind of growth can we expect from the team with Nagatomo joining?)
"Again, I think the players understand the importance of "passion".
"We have to motivate ourselves and fight. Of course, there are no games where we don't fight, but we didn't have players who could turn the tide when we were at a disadvantage, so I think it's a big deal that we have energetic players, like the sun, joining us."
"Yokohama FC, Tomonobu HAYAKAWA Coach Press Conference Summary"
"I think we have to accept the reality of a 0-4 defeat. We couldn't surpass the opponent in any aspect."
"We believe that we just need to do what we can in the remaining 9 matches."
(The first half, which ended with a score of 0-3, seemed to show too much respect for Tokyo)
"That's not true at all. In the first half, we couldn't put pressure on the defense, so our balance shifted a bit to the back. The second half may have looked like we recovered, but I think Tokyo just slowed down."
(It seemed to have improved by changing the system from the second half, but the evaluation of that)
"I think we were able to show some power by giving power to Saulo MINEIRO and FELIPE VIZEU, first of all, by not losing to the opponent in front of us and fighting firmly."
However, in reality, we were unable to break through the solid defense. We continued to struggle to enter the penalty area. I think it became difficult because Tokyo was slowing down and playing as skilled players within that.
