About the resumption of the top team's activities

At FC Tokyo, several players and staff members of the top team have tested positive for the new coronavirus infection. In accordance with the guidance of the local health department, team activities have been suspended from Feb 20 (Sun) to Feb 26 (Sat) for a period of 7 days to prevent the spread of infection.

The home games scheduled for February 23rd and 26th have been canceled, leading to a situation that affects Júbilo Iwata and Nagoya Grampus. We apologize for the great concern and inconvenience caused to everyone who is involved with and supports these teams.

In order to resume activities, we have established and will strictly enforce infection prevention measures for all club activities, including practice, games, and travel. We have also been conducting regular PCR and antigen tests for players and staff.
We have conducted PCR tests on February 25th and antigen tests before practice to resume activities today, with players and staff who have tested negative.
At the time of resuming activities, there are still players and staff members who are in the middle of the recuperation and isolation period. However, we will support the return process under the guidance of the local health department and team doctor, and gradually allow them to join team activities as they undergo the necessary tests and procedures.

At FC Tokyo, we have been strengthening our efforts to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, and we will continue to thoroughly implement infection prevention measures throughout the club.

Thank you for your continued support and encouragement this season.
