□What is the FLOAT app?
Due to the impact of COVID-19, a different approach is required from group field activities. The app "FLOAT" that we have created this time aims to make more people aware of the word "River Litter". In the current version, we have modeled it after four rivers in the world, including the Arakawa River. In the app, a large amount of river litter deposited on the riverbed and floating artificial litter constantly flows. By efficiently collecting them, fish species specific to that river will appear. In addition, we have established a mechanism to collect funds for activities through user video ad viewing and payments, and to collect and visualize litter from actual rivers (currently assuming the Arakawa River). The results will be reported on a special website.
