-Day 3-
Walk around the dormitory area from 6:30 in the morning. After that, we moved to Amstelveen by bus and had breakfast, and then we had three 30-minute training matches with Wooter Akademy U-15 starting at 10:15.
[Match 1]
Struggling against the opponent's fast press, we were unable to create any opportunities. We conceded a goal in the 10th minute due to a mistake. In the 15th minute, we were broken down on the side and conceded another goal. We were continuously scored on and ended the first match with a 0-2 score.
【2nd Half】
As we get used to the opponent's pace, the time of Tokyo's pace gradually increases. In addition, our press has been successful and we have been able to create more chances to score after stealing the opponent's ball. In the 22nd minute, Takumi MATSUNO reacted to a loose ball that the opponent goalkeeper couldn't catch from Souma UEDA's cross and scored a goal. In the 28th minute, UEDA quickly regained possession from a press and scored a powerful mid-range shot. The score was tied 2-2 at the end of the 2nd half.
【Game 3】
Despite creating chances, we were unable to score any additional points. In the midst of this, we conceded a goal in the 27th minute due to a momentary lapse. In the 30th minute, we were once again broken down on the side and conceded another goal. The final score was 2-4, and the game ended.
There were many moments where we were overwhelmed by the physicality and speed of our opponents, as they were a year above us. However, we were able to create periods of time where we controlled the pace of the game with our own style of football.
We will continue to work towards growth as there will be games after tomorrow.
Conducted sightseeing in the city of Rotterdam in the afternoon.
After that, I watched the match between Feyenoord and Zwolle, which kicked off at 20:00. The match included a goal by player Kise Ueda, and Feyenoord won 5-0.
I hope to see the growth of players who have been inspired by witnessing the success of Japanese players playing overseas.
