In November 2024, FC Tokyo top team players Soma ANZAI and Kanta DOI visited the Ueegusa (Friday) school!
□Soma ANZAI
Visited the U-5 and U-6 classes, as well as the elementary school classes for grades 1 to 3.
The school students who were looking forward to valuable time with the top team players were shining with excitement as they experienced the players' words and professional attitudes.
The children, who are seeing the players up close for the first time, are a little nervous about their appearance!
I quickly bonded with Anzai's gentle personality, and smiles overflowed.
In response to the children's question, "What kind of plays are you good at?"
"I run during the match more than anyone else. Whether in attack or defense, I excel at running to help the team." The children listened intently with serious expressions, realizing how important the "ability to run" is for professional players.
The students were also intrigued by the stories of what inspired them to start playing soccer again and what kind of training they did when they were young.
At the farewell after the exchange, we went outside the court and waved until player Anzai was out of sight!
□Kanta DOI
Visited the class for 4th to 6th grade students.
The moment he appeared, there were surprised voices saying, "He's big!"
During the Q&A session, "How well could you juggle when you were in elementary school?"
Questions such as "What do you focus on during practice?" were exchanged, regarding soccer skills and daily efforts.
Dohi shared the importance of communication with teammates, the attitude of learning from senior players, and the significance of diet and stretching, conveying the mindset of a professional through his own experiences.
The children listened attentively with serious expressions, showing a willingness to use this for their growth.
In that day's practice, it was impressive to see the students, influenced by the players, putting in more effort than usual.
During this school visit, when it was introduced that the two players are both from the FC Tokyo academy, the children felt even closer to FC Tokyo, and their passion for soccer seemed to increase even more.
The students sent warm cheers to player Anzai, player Doi, and the entire team!
