Over two days from March 26 to 27, we held a training camp in Kobuchizawa, Yamanashi Prefecture, for 19 members (3rd to 5th graders) participating in the Vermont Cup within the futsal school.
As a futsal school team, this is our first training camp in our fifth year of activities!
For the journey to and from, we traveled by the Azusa limited express, and the players were filled with excitement.

On site, we held 8-a-side soccer and futsal matches.

Especially for 8-a-side soccer, since activities were usually limited to futsal, through soccer matches, coaches and players made many new discoveries and realizations.

In the futsal match, we faced a team representing Yamanashi Prefecture, which has previously placed in the national Vermont Cup tournament.

We fought as a team, giving our all to perform at a level of intensity we had never experienced before, in an unfamiliar gymnasium environment where we usually don't train.

This training camp was also supported by Fresh Del Monte Japan Co.,Ltd. with "FC Tokyo Bananas," which provided power and energy to the players during matches.

We greatly appreciated those bananas as a high-performance boost during matches and as a snack for players when they felt a little hungry. The bananas were very sweet and delicious, and even players who don't usually eat bananas were impressed.

Besides the matches, next to the lodging there is a mini court and a place where you can explore the mountains, providing a great opportunity for everyone to communicate and bond with their teammates.

By sharing meals and living together, we were truly able to increase our sense of unity as a team.
I would like to apply this experience to the qualifiers of the Vermont Cup starting in May.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to the players and parents who participated this time, everyone who cooperated and supported us, and the teams we competed against.
Thank you very much.

This FC Tokyo futsal school team is a project designed to give futsal school students the opportunity and experience to play official matches wearing the FC Tokyo emblem. It is a limited-time team activity from early autumn until the end of the Vermont Cup.
