必勝体勢で臨む

　第11節は、現在4位につける大宮アルディージャをホームに迎えての対戦となる。前節から中3日での連戦だが、ここにきてルーカス、戸田がケガから復帰。ともに万全ではないながらも、連敗の緊急事態に志願の出場となった。また左サイドバックには今野を起用。原監督はその理由について「今野は人への強さがある。今のチーム状況ではなかなか前から追うことできず、彼の中盤での仕事が中途半端になっていた面もあり、サイドバックでシンプルに仕事をさせたかった」と話す。中盤はボランチに浅利、中央に宮沢＋栗澤。ルーカスはベンチスタートとなり、トップには近藤祐が先発で臨む。

　対する大宮は、今季よりJ1リーグに昇格。J2時より築いてきたサッカーを大きく変えることなく、堅い守りから迫力のあるカウンター攻撃を徹底。堅実な戦いぶりで、5勝1分4敗と勝点を積み重ねている。今節は得点ランク3位につけるFWクリスティアンが出場停止だが、前節柏戦ではFWトゥットのゴールで勝利するなど「選手をうまく入れ替えて使い、結果を出している」と原監督。今日もMF藤本を控えに置き、右MFには安藤正が今季初先発となった。

　Jリーグのキャンペーン「10,000ゴール」まであと8ゴール。その意味でも注目を浴びる今節だが、東京にとっては絶対に負けられない重要な試合。選手も決意を表明して、戦う気持ちを前面に押し出し、連敗脱出を誓った。試合は曇り空の味の素スタジアム、熱いスタンドのサポートを受け、15時4分に大宮のキックオフでスタートした。

Going For Victory 

Fourth placed Omiya Ardija were the visitors for the 11th. game of the season. F.C.TOKYO welcomed back the determined but far from completely recovered Lucas and Kaji. Manager Hara raised eyebrows by naming Konno as left side back but explained his choice at the pre-match press conference by saying, "He's physically very strong but has been stymied in his attacking role recently due to the team's current situation. A simpler role is in order today". Asari filled the holding midfield position with Miyazawa and Kurisawa in front of him. Lucas was named to the substitutes bench while Yusuke Kondo appeared as lone striker. 
Newly promoted Ardija had made little change to the defensive, counter attacking style that served them so well in J2 last year. Top scorer Christian was suspended and another Brazilian, Tuto, took his place. "Ardija are very skilled at selecting a team depending on their opponents and have the results to prove it," commented Hiromi Hara. Midfielder Fujimoto was on the bench while Ando made his season debut. 
The J.League 10,000th. Goal Campaign was nearing it's climax as only 8 more tallies were needed to reach that figure at kick off. The match was a hugely important one for TOKYO as the team struggled desperately to break out of the recent slump. The roar of the crowd reached a crescendo as Ardija kicked off on an overcast afternoon. 

PKで先制を許すも、石川、近藤祐のファインゴールで勝ち越し

　序盤は中盤で激しく奪い合い、互いにフィニッシュに持ち込ませない展開が続いた。東京は激しいプレスから奪ってはサイドにボールを散らし、リズムをつかもうとしていた。7分には戸田が右サイド深くまで攻め上がり、クロスを送る。9分には大宮FWトゥットが右エリアに侵入。強引にシュートを打とうとするが、茂庭がしっかり対応し、ミートさせず。 ところが11分、大宮の左エリアからのFKの場面でのこと。ゴール前の攻防でジャーンが相手選手を倒したとしてファールの判定を受け、PKを与えてしまう。12分、これをFWトゥットが決め、早くも先制を許してしまった。

　つかみかけたリズムをそがれるような失点となったが、今日の東京はここで気落ちすることはなかった。奪っては切り替え速く攻撃につなげて、大宮ゴールに迫った。15分には栗澤のスルーパスを受けた戸田が右エリア、角度のないところから威力のあるシュートを放ったが、相手GKがセーブ。18分には右からのFK。宮沢の鋭いキックに戸田がエリア内でヘッドでつなごうとするが、オフサイドに。24分過ぎには立て続けに3本のCK。

　そして28分のことだった。左サイド、大宮陣内で奪い合いが続いたが、こぼれ球を拾った今野がゴール前に猛突進。そして中央に上がった石川にラストパスを送った。迫るDFを前に、石川はダイレクトで右足のアウトでシュート。ボールは美しい弧を描いてゴールイン！　今野とのコンビから石川のすばらしいシュートが決まり、同点に追いついた。ちなみにこの得点はJ1・9999本目のゴールとなった。

　気迫あふれるプレーを続ける東京は、セットプレーを中心に大宮を押し込んだ。34分には遠めの位置からのFKを宮沢が直接狙う。36分には右エリア角で石川が倒され、再びFKに。だが、ともに宮沢のキックは相手DFに阻まれた。42分には前線で戸田が粘り、左CK。しかしまたしても大宮DFがカット。多くのセットプレーを得るものの、得点に結びつけることはできない。

　このまま前半終了かと思われた44分、相手左サイド陣内で混戦となり、マイボールにした今野が前線にパス。これが相手DFにあたり、左エンドライン際までこぼれる。飛び出した近藤祐が追いつき、深い位置で相手DFを切り返した。ゴールエリア左角から果敢に放ったシュートは逆サイドのネットを突き刺し、ゴール。2対1と勝ち越し、後半へと折り返した。

TOKYO Bounce Back In Style

The game began as a furious midfield battle with neither side able to seize the initiative. TOKYO looked to win the ball and hit the flanks. Toda made headway down the left and centred in the 7th. minute. Tuto then burst into the TOKYO area but a thunderous block from Moniwa denied the former TOKYO man. In the 11th. minute Ardija won a free kick outside the area and when the cross came in a player went down under pressure from Jean and the referee awarded a penalty. Tuto netted decisively and TOKYO were behind. 
TOKYO were unfazed by the cruel blow and redoubled their efforts. In the 15th. minute Kurisawa rolled a perfectly weighted through ball into the path of Toda, bursting into the area. Toda lashed a drive goalward from an acute angle that Aratani parried away. The same player then made contact with Miyazawa's free kick but was given offside. TOKYO turned the screw, winning a succession of corners in the 24th. minute. 
The pressure told in the 28th. minute. Konno rampaged forward, shrugging off challenges, before slipping the ball to Ishikawa on the edge of the Ardija penalty area. Ishikawa struck first time with the outside of his right boot and the ball described a perfect arc through the air and inside the right post. Ishikawa's exquisite goal tied the scores and became the 9,999 goal since the inception of the J.League. 
TOKYO set about Ardija with renewed vigour. The visitors were stretched and resorted to a series of fouls and desperate clearances to maintain parity. They seemed to have weathered the storm but another fine goal put TOKYO ahead in the 44th. minute. Konno again won the ball in midfield and launched it forward towards Kondo. Kondo managed to reach the ball just short of the byline but with no support in sight and a gaggle of orange shirts between him and the goal little seemed available. He deftly cut the ball back and accelerated into the area before hammering a low drive that ripped across the face of the goal and nestled inside the far post. TOKYO left the field to tumultuous applause with a 2-1 lead. 

連敗脱出なるも、目前で勝利を逃がす…

　大宮は後半からMF藤本を投入、勝負をかけてきた。東京もアグレッシブな姿勢を失わず、後半開始直後に近藤祐が左エリアから強烈なシュート。相手GKがCKに逃れる。このCKから今野がヘディングシュートを放つが、バーの上に。 52分には近藤祐と戸田のコンビで大宮の右サイドを崩し、ラストは近藤祐がシュートするがDFがカット。続いて石川が右サイドを突破し、CKを得る。石川のキックに近藤祐が競るが、チャンスをいかすことができなかった。

　大宮は56分にDF三上に代えてMF橋本を左MFに投入。左MF久永がボランチに、ボランチの西村を右SBに下げる布陣で反撃に出る。この交代あたりから、東京は徐々にボールが落ち着かなくなり、大宮に中盤の主導権を握られることになる。66分には宮沢のサイドチェンジを左で受けた近藤祐がドリブルで中へ切り込み、シュート。威力はあったが、わずかに右に切れた。 69分に大宮はMFディビットソン純マーカスに代えてFW横山を投入、前線を厚くしてきた。東京も71分には戸田に代えて小林を、73分には疲れのみえた近藤祐に代えてルーカスを投入する。

　直後の76分、大宮陣内右エリアからのFKのシーン。ゴール前で相手DFがルーカスに対してファールを犯し、PKをゲット。これをルーカス自身がきっちり決めて3対1と大宮を突き放した……かに思えた。ところが1分後の77分、大宮に左CKを与えると、藤本のキックをDFトニーニョがニアで倒れこみながらバックヘッドで合わせる。浮き球のボールはゴールに吸い込まれ、あっという間に1点差に。結果的にこの失点がその後に大きく響くことになる。

　反撃の勢いを増し、パワープレーを仕掛ける大宮に対し、残り15分は厳しい展開となった。81分、大宮の右CKから橋本に決定的なクロスを上げられ、ゴール前で危ない場面となるも、ルーカスのクリアでなんとかしのぐ。86分には波状攻撃を許し、右エリア内から久永が決定的なクロス。ファーでフリーのトゥットが狙いすましたヘッドを放ったが、バーを越えて事無きを得る。

　時間はロスタイム3分に突入。その直後には相手FKをカット、宮沢が一気に前線の石川を走らせるパスを送り、石川は左エリアまで突進、シュートを放つが、相手GKの片足のセーブに合う。そして残りも数十秒となったところだった。左エリアで小林がボールを奪われ、大宮の前線に放り込まれる。今野のクリアが相手に当たり、自陣ゴール前にいたトゥットの前へ跳ね返る。そして左から走りこんだFW森田にパスがわたり、最後に決められてしまった。勝利目前で同点に追いつかれる、悔しい展開。連敗脱出はしたものの、勝点1を得るにとどまった。

　【選手コメント】《近藤祐》「（得点シーンは）ボールが抜けてきて、1対1には負けないと思って相手DFを切り返した。いつもならここでパスを選択するが、今日ははずしてもいいと思って思い切り打った。ファーのサイドネットに入ったが、あそこしかコースがなかった。ただゴールシーン以外ではあまりボールに触っていない。もう少し絡みたかったが…」《石川》「勝ちたかった。でも勝点1を取って、流れはきっと変わると思う。いいサッカーとは言えなかったが、セカンドボールをつないで得点するというこれまでにはなかった形で点も取れた。得点の場面は、今野が積極的に仕掛けてくれた。自分としてはその前から同じような形で勝負して、相手に取られてはいたりしたのだが繰り返すことが大事。すっきりと切り替えて、次は頑張ろうと思う」《ルーカス》「ケガは決して万全の状態で回復してはいないが、無理しても出場したかった。引き分けの結果は残念。チームのみんなも厳しい気持ちでいる。だがよい方向に考えることが大事。今日はみんなで頑張って闘う気持ちを出せたと思う。修正するべきところを修正して、いい方向に向かっていきたい」

　【原監督の会見要旨】「うまく時間を使って逃げ切れれば…というところだったが、何秒かを耐え切れなくて追いつかれてしまい、非常に残念。けれどもこれだけ苦しい試合が続いている中、サポーターが温かい応援をし続けてくれている。選手も前を向いて闘う姿勢を出していたと思う。もちろん勝点3がほしかった。結果は勝点1にとどまったが、今日のような姿勢を出し続けていかなければいけない。ロスタイムに追いつかれた失点よりも、3対1になったあとのCKの失点が問題。あれがなければ展開も変わっただろう。最後の失点については、もう少し時間を使いたかったが、簡単に取られて放り込まれてしまった。そこは修正しなければいけないが、選手は厳しい状況の中、顔を上げている。次につながる勝点1にしなければいけない」

　【大宮・三浦監督の会見要旨】「負けている時間が長く、90分が長く感じられるゲームだった。最後の15分はよかったが、非常に不満足な内容。一つのポイントは、PKをもらって先制し、逆にそれがネガティブな要因になった。守りに入り、明らかに東京の勢いを感じた。いずれ逆転されるだろうと思っていた。前半のうちに逆転されたので、ハーフタイムに選手には『こんなゲームは見たくない。やり直してこい』と言って送り出した。そこでまた攻めに出て、セットプレーなどで同点になるチャンスは何回かあった。2点差になってからも選手たちがあきらめず、同点にしてくれた。後半途中に交代のカードをどんどん切ったあたりからに関してはよかったと思うが。サッカーの場合、前半が悪かった時に、後半からやり直そうとしてもなかなか流れは変わらない。今日の試合を一つの教訓としたい。今のままでは、この順位はキープできない」

TOKYO Break Losing Streak 

Ardija sent on Fujimoto for the second half but it was TOKYO who nearly extended their lead as Kondo skillfully controlled a long ball and produced a rasping drive that Aratani fingertipped over the bar. Konno made contact with the resulting corner but failed to hit the target. TOKYO maintained the pressure with Ishikawa and Kondo looking dangerous but were unable to repeat their earlier heroics. 
In the 56th. minute Ardija replaced defender Mikami with midfielder Hashimoto and revamped their formation. Hashimoto moved onto the left of midfield, Hisanaga moved into a defensive midfield role and defensive midfielder Nishimura moved to right side back. The changes proved effective; TOKYO suddenly were struggling as Ardija wrested midfield domination away from them. Kondo curled a shot narrowly wide of the far post in the 66th. minute. Ardija then beefed up their attack by replacing Davidson with striker Yokoyama. TOKYO responded by bringing on Kobayashi for Toda and Lucas for Kondo. 
The changes paid off almost immediately. Jean lofted a free kick forward, Lucas tumbled and the referee pointed to the spot. Lucas smashed the penalty past Aratani and TOKYO seemed home and dry. 
Less than a minute later Ardija won a corner on the right. Defender Toninho made contact with Fujimoto's well struck effort as he fell backwards and the ball sailed back across goal and under the bar to reduce the lead to a single goal. The pendulum swung back to Ardija and the visitors pushed forward in search of an equaliser. TOKYO defended desperately and seemed to have won the game when disaster struck in the third minute of injury time. Ishikawa raced free on goal only to see Aratani save with his feet; Kobayashi then lost possession on the left allowing Ardija to pump the ball forward. Konno's attempted clearance struck an opponent and landed in the path of Tuto. Tuto slipped the ball inside to Morita who clipped it past Doi to tie the score. TOKYO saw victory snatched from them with the penultimate kick of the match but had finally snapped the losing streak. 


Players' comments 
Kondo: 
"I pulled the ball back and went for the far post. There was nothing else to aim at. Usually I would pass in that situation but I just decided to go for it. Apart from the goal I hardly touched the ball though. I really wanted to get into the game more". 

Ishikawa: 
"We really wanted to win today. It wasn't great football but we got a point and hopefully things will start to turn around now. We'll give it everything in the next game". 

Lucas: 
"I'm not 100% fit but I was desperate to get on the field and help the side today. It's very disappointing we couldn't win. Things are tough right now but we've got to stay positive. If we can do that we'll be going in the right direction". 


F.C.TOKYO manager Hara: 
"It's real shame we couldn't run the clock down and hang on for the win. The fans were absolutely superb again today. The team showed great character and determination. The second goal we conceded, from the corner, really changed the game. If that hadn't gone in the result would have been very different. Still, we have a point and the players heads are up. We want to show the same commitment in the next game". 

Ardija manager Miura: 
"That felt like a very long 90 minutes today as we were losing for most of it. We played well in the last 15 minute but the performance was lacking in many ways. For example, after we got the penalty we became quite negative and that allowed TOKYO back into the game. I wasn't surprised at all when they scored twice in the first half. I gave the players a rocket at half time and it worked; we could easily have scored earlier in the second half. After we fell two behind the substitutions worked well and the players never gave up. That's why we could take a point from this game. We learned a good lesson today though: if we play like this we won't maintain our league position".
