強い気持ちで勝ち点3をつかみ取り、4連勝を目指す一戦

　東日本大震災の影響で延期されていたリーグ第2節が開催。アウェイでファジアーノ岡山と対戦。前節は水戸の追い上げを許したものの、3対2で競り勝ち、3連勝。順位も3位に浮上した。また1位との勝ち点差も2となったが、一方で下位に目を移すと、東京との勝ち点3差の中に4チームがひしめく混戦でもある。大熊監督は「現在の順位や勝点を意識することなく、緊張感と集中力を保って、一戦ごとに強い気持ちで勝ち点3をつかみ取っていきたい」と話す。

　対する岡山は、現在勝ち点12で18位につける。昨シーズンより指揮を執る影山雅永監督のもと、ビルドアップからチャンスをつくるサッカーをめざし、今季はDFストヤノフを獲得。今節は6得点を挙げているFWチアゴが出場停止となるが、3-6-1の布陣を敷き、MF石原、FW岸田らにはスピードがあり、MF小林と澤口の両ウィングバックの飛び出しも鋭い。

　東京は、U-22日本代表として五輪予選を戦った権田も合流しベンチ入り。塩田は「前線にモビリティのある選手が揃い、その分的が絞りづらい」と話し、ボランチとサイドバーフがしっかりカバーをして、スペースを埋めることが重要である。また岡山は、守備時には両サイドが下がり5バックに近い布陣になるため、攻撃面では、いかにスペースのないところでチャンスを作り、得点につなげられるかがカギとなる。　

　これまでようにボールを回していく中で、今野や森重の攻め上がりなど、相手の隙を突く意外性のあるプレーで打開を図ってゴールを奪い、4連勝をめざす。試合は蒸す暑さが残るKankoスタジアムにて、19時33分に岡山のキックオフで開始された。

Tokyo Aim For Fourth Straight Win 

F.C.Tokyo traveled south to take on Fagiano Okayama in a game rescheduled due to the Great Tohoku Earthquake. Tokyo had held off a late surge from Mito Hollyhock to prevail 3-2 in the previous outing, a win that lifted the club to third in the league. Just two points separated Tokyo from top place but a chasing pack of four clubs lurked three points behind. Manager Kiyoshi Okuma commented, "It's no time to be thinking about points or rankings; instead, we've got to maintain our edge and our concentration as we go about earning three points from each game we play". 
Opponents Okayama lay in 18th.place with 12 points at kick off. First-year manager Masanaga Kageyama was attempting to nurture a team that built moves and finished them with attempts on goal, and the side had made the acquisition of veteran defender Stoyanov this season. Six-goal leading scorer Thiago was suspended for the hosts, who usually favoured a 3-6-1 formation, with forward Kishida and midfielder Ishihara supplying the pace and side backs Kobayashi and Sawaguchi lending their weight to a thrusting attack. 
Gonda returned from duty with the Japan U-22 Olympic Team to take a place on the bench. Shiota commented, "The opposition have mobile players in their frontline so it's going to be difficult to keep things tight". The Tokyo defensive midfielders and side halves would need to cover effectively and plug any holes that appeared. With the Okayama sidebacks dropping back to create a virtual five-man defensive line Tokyo would need to make the best use of whatever space was available to create chances, while Konno and Takahashi would be expected to join the attack and exploit any chinks in the hosts' defensive armour. 
Okayama kicked off shortly after 7:30pm on a hot and humid evening. 

森重のヘッドがさく裂！1点リードして折り返す

　岡山は連動したプレスから、前線のスピードを活かした攻撃を仕掛けてきた。それでも東京は慌てずに対応し、ボールをつないで主導権を握ろうとしたが、ミスも出てリズムを掴むことができなかった。11分には東京DFの裏を狙ったフィードに合わせて岡山FW岸田に抜け出され、GK1対1の場面を作られるが、塩田の判断の良い好セーブでピンチを逃れる。

　24分には今野の前線へのパスが、前に出ていた相手GKの頭上を越え、あわやゴールインかと思われたが、これはGKの必死のカバーでCKに逃れられた。31分は徳永→田邉が中にドリブルで切り込んで中央に。これをタイミング良く梶山がシュートするもDF当たってCKに。ここからさらにチャンス作り、最後は徳永がロングレンジのシュートを狙うもGKがキャッチ。

　その後も、ボールを回すことはできても、岡山の堅守速攻が機能して隙を突けない時間が続いた。だが39分に右エリアに進入した田邉が仕掛け、こぼれを奪った徳永のシュートからCKを得る。40分、谷澤が蹴った右CKに、森重がヘディングシュート！セットプレーから、森重が2試合連続弾をマークし先制を果たした。さらに東京はチャンスを掴むも追加点は奪えず。前半は1点リードして折り返した。

Morishige Header Gives Tokyo Lead

Okayama attempted to press Tokyo systematically and use their speed in attack. Tokyo maintained their organization however and sought to seize the initiative but mistakes prevented them from establishing a rhythm. In the 11th.minute Okayama forward Kishida raced through the Tokyo defence to meet a through ball and bore down on goal; Shiota stood firm and pulled off a fine save to deny the hosts the opening goal. At the other end Konno's long ball forward nearly embarrassed Okayama keeper Mago in the 24th.minute as he misread the flight of the ball and watched in horror as it sailed over his head; somehow he managed to scramble back and saved his blushes by pawing the ball off the line and away for a corner. In the 31st.minute Tanabe received the ball from Tokunaga, cut inside and fed Kajiyama in a central position. Kajiyama struck fiercely but his effort hit a defender and deflected out for a corner. Tokyo threatened from the set play, Tokunaga eventually firing a long-range blast that Mago held cleanly. 
Tokyo enjoyed plenty of possession but struggled to break down the Okayama defence. The complexion of the game changed at a stroke in the 40th.minute as Tanabe dribbled his way into the home penalty area and Tokunaga's resulting shot clipped a defender on its way out. Morishige rose to meet Yazawa's corner and powered the ball past Mago to give Tokyo the lead. The visitors created further chances but failed to convert any and Morishige's second goal in consecutive games was the difference as the half time whistle blew.

　後半も東京が主導権を握る。49分　中央約25mの位置からのFK。森重が狙ったシュートが壁に当たって、右エリア手前のセザーのもとに。ここからフリーで一歩持ち出し、シュートを放ったが、枠を横切る。57分には今野から大きなサイドチェンジ。左サイドにいた田邉が持ち上がり、ドリブルシュート。ボールは枠外に。

　59分には徳永が右サイドで相手DFの間をドリブルで縫って上がり、シュート。勢いこそなかったが、左ポストをヒット…。61分には田邉に代わり石川を投入。徐々に岡山には疲れが見え始め、東京は集中を切らさず、ボールをまわした。決定的といえるチャンスはなかなか作れなかったが、75分に待望の追加点を上げることに。

　徳永のスローインを羽生が右エリアの高い位置で受け、すぐ鈴木につなぐ。途中出場の鈴木は相手DFを引きつけて、中央へマイナスのパスを送り、高橋が抑えたミドルを確実に突き刺す！　高橋のJ初ゴールで、リードを広げた。それでも諦めず、攻撃陣の流動的なポジションチェンジや、DFストヤノフを前に上げて反撃に臨む岡山。しかし塩田を中心に最後まで集中した守りを見せ、無失点に抑えて勝利！　我慢強く戦い抜き、アウェイで貴重な勝ち点3を得て4連勝を果たした。

　【選手コメント】《高橋》「いつかはゴールを決めたいとずっと思っていた。今日は真人がまた得点して、オレも…と思ったし、それ以前に朝起きたときに、取れそうな予感があった（笑）。あの得点の3分ほど前に、陽平さんと少しポジションチェンジをして、自分が前目になった。タツさんに渡ったときに、エリア前まで上がって、呼び込んだ。たぶんその声に反応して、タツさんは出してくれたと思う。シュートは、コースを狙うというより、ボールの芯にミートすることだけを心掛けて無心で打った。

　初ゴールはうれしいが、ゴンちゃんに『チョー変な喜び方をしていた』と言われたので、あとからビデオで見てみます（笑）。シュートを打った直後は、少し静まって誰も喜んでくれなくて、一瞬外したかと思った。でも直後にみんなが喜んでくれて、自分もサポーターの方へ走っていきました。一戦一戦、悔いのない試合をすることを心掛けているが、プラスの面は積み重ね、課題は修正できるように頑張りたい」

　《羽生》「暑さもあったし、岡山は“面倒”という印象。今までの前から嵌めていく守備ができず、相手にはビルドアップできる選手もいたし、難しい試合になった。アウェイで勝つのは簡単じゃないけれど、その中でもセットプレーで先制して、勝てたことは良かったと思う。

　(2点目は自らがスローインを奪って、そのスローインを高い位置で受けたところから始まったが？）自分としては、いつでも相手の隙は突いていこうとしている。相手に固められたところに、入り込んでいくことを意識している。その意味では、流れの中でも的が絞りづらくなるように、もう少し縦の出入りを多くしたかったが…。たとえば2列目の選手がボールを持ってヘッドアップしたときに、サイドハーフとトップの選手が交互に、相手の背後を突くような、そういう出入りを多くできればよかったのだが…。そういう連係を高めていきたい」

　【大熊監督の会見要旨】「後半はこの暑さでボールをまわしていることで、相手も足が止まったのでやりたいことはできた。やはり前半から自滅的なボールの奪われ方とか反省すべき点は多いし、サッカーに対して甘いところが多々あった。暑いのは暑いがお互い様だし、前半岡山に非常に前へ前へと狙い通りにカウンターをやられたところもある。いつもそうだが、後半の頑張りとかはこれからの季節にチームとしてプラスなので、そこは持続する。

　奪われ方が悪くてカウンターをくらった部分をどうやって回避するか。シュートで終わることによってカウンターをくらわないようにするとか。その辺はまだプラスにならない部分もあるので、プラスになるように力を付けて積み上げて一戦一戦この暑さの中、やっていくことが非常に重要になる試合だったと思います。ただ湿度も含めて、今日は無風で関東より暑いと思う。ハーフタイムに汗を見たが、最後まで選手たちはよく頑張った部分もある。次は中二日ですがホームでしっかりとやりたいと思います」

　【岡山・影山雅永監督の会見要旨】「お互いに中三日の試合。ただ我々は3連戦の真ん中の試合をここカンスタで迎えられるという幸運にも恵まれまして、たくさんのサポーターにも応援していただいた。強豪FC東京相手に完封されて敗れたことを非常に悔しく思っています。ゲームの流れとしてはFC東京という強豪相手に多少リスペクトして臨んだところがあって、前半はうまくいっていた。セットプレーというのは、どの試合でもどの時間帯でも得点率としては高くなるものではありますが、あのような時間帯でプラン通りに進んでいた時こそ、集中力を持ってチームとして守って欲しかったなと思います。

　2つ目の失点に関してもスローインからの対応の遅れという修正に、それほど難しいものではないところで集中力の欠如・準備の遅さでやられてしまったことは残念だなと思っています。ただ選手たちは最後までファイティングスピリットを見せてくれましたし、特に何人かは非常に自分の良さを出しながらチームの為にプレーを披露してくれた選手がいる。次の愛媛戦に向けて中三日ですぐに試合がきますけれども、できるだけの準備をして臨みたいと思っています」

Takahashi's First Professional Goal Seals The Win 

Tokyo seized the initiative as the second half unfolded and had a chance to double the lead as they earned a free kick some 25 metres from goal in the 49th.minute. Morishige lashed the ball into the wall, the deflection falling neatly to Cesar unmarked on the right of the penalty area. Cesar took one step and shot but his effort flew narrowly wide of the upright. Konno sprayed a long crossfield ball out to Tanabe in the 57th. minute; Tanabe cut inside and shot but again failed to test Mago. 
In the 59th.minute Tokunaga skipped between two defenders and weaved his way forward before letting fly. The shot lacked power but still beat Mago and then smacked against the post. Ishikawa replaced Tanabe in the 61st.minute. Forced to chase the ball for long periods Okayama began to tire, while Tokyo bided their time before striking the killer blow in the 75th.minute. 
Tokunaga took a throw in on the right and picked out Hanyu, deep inside the Okayama penalty area. Hanyu quickly laid the ball off to substitute Suzuki who drew defenders towards him before cutting a cross back towards the advancing Takahashi. Takahashi met the ball cleanly and earned his first goal as a professional with a firm drive that gave Mago no chance. The hosts continued to fight, changing positions fluidly and pushing Stoyanov forward into the attack. The Tokyo defence, with Shiota in command, held firm to the bitter end and the final whistle blew on a 2-0 away win that earned three valuable points and stretched the winning run to four games.

Takahashi 
"I'd always wanted to score a goal someday. Today Masato got one and I did too; I actually woke up this morning feeling that today it was going to happen. About three minutes before the goal I'd changed positions with Yohei ( Kajiyama ) and called out to Tatsu ( Suzuki ) when I got to the edge of the area. Maybe he reacted to my voice and gave me the ball. More than trying to pick a spot I just met the ball dead centre and put everything into the shot. I was delighted to score my first goal but Konno made a remark about what he called my very strange celebration. I suppose I'll have to watch it on the video. After I hit the ball it seemed to go quiet and for a moment I thought I'd missed, but then everyone started celebrating and I ran over to our fans as well. We're doing our best to leave no regrets over our performances after every game, to increase the positives and fix what needs fixing". 

Hanyu 
"It was very humid and Okayama have the image of being a tricky team. We've haven't been able to shut teams down by defending from the front, the opposition are able to build play and it became a difficult game. It's never easy winning away but we took the lead from a set play and it's very satisfying that we won the game. 
Regarding my positioning for the second goal I can say that I'm always looking to exploit even the smallest spaces in the opposition defence. In open play I try to be as elusive as possible and today I had wanted to make more runs straight up and down. For example, when a player in the second row has the ball then a forward and a side half exchange positions, leaving room for a run behind the opposition defence. We could have done with more of that and it's the kind of movement we want to increase".

"We managed to tire the opposition out by moving the ball around in the second half. Still, we have a lot to reflect on from our first half performance particularly in the way we gave the ball away in self-destructive positions and the naivety of some of our play. The heat affected both teams equally and we exposed ourselves to counter attacks by pushing forward so much in the first half. That's been the usual pattern although the way we dug in in the second half bodes well for the future and is something we want to continue. We have to focus on the way we concede possession in poor positions and allow the opposition to counter attack and then prevent it by finishing moves with an attempt on goal. I think today's game will be important in showing us how to deal with the heat we will face in the upcoming games. There was no breeze at all here today and it was hotter than in the Kanto region. I saw how heavily the players were sweating at half time and want to praise the way they fought to the bitter end. The next game is only two days away and we want to prepare carefully for it".

"Both sides were playing their second game in three days. We were fortunate to have this game at home and receive great support from a large number of fans. It's disappointing that we couldn't keep them out but Tokyo is a strong opponent and we were able to put in a good performance in the first half. Set plays always carry a threat but considering the timing and the state of the game we had wanted the team to maintain its concentration. The second goal came about due to a loss of concentration and a slowness to react that was disappointing. Still, the players showed a great fighting spirit and many reproduced the best of their ability for the team. We only have two days until the Ehime game but aim to prepare the team as well as we possibly can".
