2023 2nd CAMP REPORT & INTERVIEW
DAY2 Hisatoshi NISHIDO

The second day of Miyazaki camp was attended by many fans and supporters, despite being a weekday. And it was two consecutive days of training under clear skies.

In practice, we performed positional games with a focus on expanding from the center back to the sides and breaking down the defense through coordination.

The time has come to enter the final stage of preparation for the opening. On the pitch, we could see players communicating with each other and making detailed adjustments. When shots weren't going in or the ball couldn't be moved forward, not only coach Albert Puig Ortoneda but also the players would give a rallying cry, demanding high quality from the entire team.

We have been able to build up our training with a focus on combinations and accuracy until the finish. We will demonstrate this achievement in tomorrow's training match with Zweigen Kanazawa and accelerate our team building towards the opening.

Hisatoshi NISHIDO

Q: How was the second day of the second camp?
A, I want to raise my condition one step further from the Okinawa camp and the Miyazaki camp. Thanks to the support of the medical staff, it is in a very good condition after finishing the second day of training.

Q: I joined the practice late due to an injury, but how do you plan to make an impression from now on?
A, it is very frustrating to have joined late, but there is no point in regretting it, so I have been preparing well even while injured to make a comeback. Right now, I think of myself as starting from the bottom due to the delay. It is a difficult situation, but I want to overcome it and move forward in the future.

Q: What preparations have you made during the period of injury?
A, I have been doing training to be able to use my buttocks consciously because I injured myself due to improper use of my buttocks.

Q: Speaking of training your buttocks, I think Yuto NAGATOMO is doing it. Do you have any advice?
A, I haven't been able to participate in Nagatomo's training because the timing doesn't match, so if there is an opportunity to participate, I would like to join. I recently spoke with Yuto Nagatomo and told him, "Please let me know next time," so if the timing is right, I would like him to teach me.

Q: Tokyo's side attackers are strong players, skilled players, and fast players, so the competition is fierce. What are your thoughts and enthusiasm?
There are many high-quality players in the attacking side, but there are no left-handed players with height, so that can become my strength and uniqueness. I want to make use of being left-handed and try to keep up with the great players playing in the game, even if it's just a little.

Q, please appeal your own characteristics as we haven't been able to deliver Hisatoshi NISHIDO's play to the fans and supporters yet.
A, I think that the strength is the driving force, so I would like you to see plays that go forward when you have the ball, go behind the opponent even when you don't have the ball, and advance the team towards the goal.

Q: During the camp period, there will be two practice matches. What will you focus on during these matches?
Even during practice, each individual's quality is demanded, so the standards have increased since my university days, and I feel the difficulty. I think the quality of passes and crosses becomes important in the practical field of practice matches, so I want to play with even more focus and attention to detail than before.

Q, please tell us your goal for this season.
I hope to contribute to FC Tokyo's league championship by embodying the "+1GOAL (one more goal)" style that the club has set for this season, while also being mindful of injuries and participating in matches. I believe that scoring goals is necessary for winning the league, so I will strive to contribute through assists and goals.
