From Apr 3 (Mon) to Apr 12 (Wed), we will be implementing a schedule for the 7th day of our Spain-Portugal expedition. Here is the report.
On the 7th day of the expedition, we started with a walk and stretching on Sep 9 (Sun).
'The 37th Real Sociedad U-17 International Tournament' on the second day, the second-placed FC Tokyo U-18 played against Morocco's Mohammed VI Football Academy, which had the same ranking in their respective groups on the first day of the tournament.
The Muhammad VI Football Academy was launched in 2009 with the aim of enhancing development and with full support from the country. It has made a significant contribution to the progress of the Moroccan national team, which reached the World Cup semi-finals for the first time for an African team in the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
The match, which kicked off at 10:00 on the same "Zubiyeta" ground as the first day of the tournament, continued with intense play from the start. FC Tokyo, who conceded 2 goals first, returned one point with a goal from player Divine OTANI after a beautiful breakthrough. Despite continuing to play aggressively to score more goals, they were unable to score the next goal and lost 1-2. In the penalty shootout, which is a unique rule of the tournament where winning adds 0.5 points, goalkeeper player Shinhori saved 2 shots, following yesterday's save by player Kitagawa, and earned 4-3 points in the penalty shootout.
Yesterday, in the La Liga Getafe match that the players watched, Takefusa KUBO, who scored a goal in front of the FC Tokyo U-18 players, set a new record for the most goals scored by a Japanese player in the league. He took the opportunity before his own training to come and watch the FC Tokyo U-18 match, and he sat on the bench and observed the play of his juniors.
Also, on this day, it was a training day for the Real Sociedad top team, which is usually not open to the public. However, because it was Easter Sunday, they accepted general visits and many fans and supporters came to watch. After training, thanks to the efforts of player Kubo, they made time to interact with the FC Tokyo U-18 players. They watched the FC Tokyo U-18 players' play and gave their impressions and advice, and they kindly responded to requests for photos and autographs. Afterwards, they were able to see player Kubo carefully responding to each request from fans and supporters, including young children, and the players had a special moment.
In the afternoon, we strolled around the city of San Sebastian, enjoyed the beautiful scenery, and bought souvenirs. After that, we returned to our accommodation and prepared for the final match of the tournament on the third day against the world-famous club, Real Madrid.
