[U-15 Fukagawa] Day 4 of Korea Expedition

[Day 4 of Korea Expedition]

Today, Hirono YAMAGUCHI is in charge!
On the 4th day of the expedition, FC Tokyo U-15 Fukagawa played two matches yesterday, so to combine a rest day with active time in Seoul city, they visited 'Lotte World Adventure.'

To deepen the bonds with their teammates, the group was divided into four teams within the park to take on various attractions.
The park was quite crowded, but true to the spirit of FC Tokyo players, they tackled the new attractions with persistence and determination.

Although we are comrades brought together by soccer, spending time with this person is enjoyable.
They continue to be someone who feels like a positive presence to me.
When they stand on the Ajinomoto Stadium in the future, I want to cheer for this player on weekends and gain courage.
I hope they grow into such a person.

After enjoying shopping at the end of the sightseeing, we had authentic samgyeopsal.

Here too, there was a spirit of never giving up and giving their all, facing the authentic grilled meat until the very end.
On the pitch so far, through intense and fast-paced games against third-year middle school students, whom they rarely face in Japan, they have gained the valuable experience that even a slight misalignment in individual skills or judgment can make them ineffective.

I am glad that the players themselves are feeling the need to recognize when to use their strengths and to perceive the opponent’s moves. As the expedition enters its latter half, I expect situations both on and off the pitch where we will be at a disadvantage to increase, but in such circumstances, I want them to objectively assess their current position here in Korea.

On the fourth day of the Korea expedition, we went sightseeing in the city and visited Lotte World Adventure. We formed groups of 4 to 5 people and enjoyed riding attractions and experiencing games. There were many attractions and games not found in Japan, so we were able to have many first-time experiences. After that, we went to a shopping mall to buy souvenirs such as recommended Korean snacks and Korean seaweed. Although we had some trouble with the payment due to the language barrier, we cooperated with each other and received help from the locals, allowing us to successfully purchase the souvenirs.
We have become quite accustomed to bus travel. We increased communication with our teammates and were able to deepen the overall team bond. Since today was a rest day, we did not play soccer, but looking back on the expedition so far, we learned the importance of positioning in matches against opponents who are physically stronger and taller than us. We want to keep in mind the importance of positioning that we have learned during the Korea expedition and achieve results in tomorrow’s match as well.
