[U-15 Fukagawa] Italy Expedition Day 4

On the 17th day of the 4th day of the expedition (Wed), we started with a morning walk and exercise. After breakfast, we took a short break and then went for a longer walk to prepare for the 17:00 kickoff match. We stopped by a church and a market and enjoyed the Italian culture with all our senses.

And in the afternoon, the long-awaited "29° edition of Abano Football Trophy" finally begins. This tournament will have 16 teams participating, and the qualifying league will be played with 4 teams in 30-minute halves. We aimed to advance to the top tournament where the top 2 teams will proceed, starting with the first match of the qualifying round against Bologna FC.

Although they aggressively tried to take the initiative from the start of the match, the opponents did not allow it and the battle continued with both sides making progress and setbacks. Gradually, they were able to push into the opponent's territory more often, but they struggled to create good shooting opportunities. However, they faced some dangerous situations from corner kicks and attacks from the sides, but managed to keep the score 0-0 as they reached halftime.

In the second half, both teams increased their offensive and defensive efforts in front of the goal, creating a thrilling development. They faced two decisive moments, but goalkeeper Soki SATO made a superb save and prevented a goal.

Despite creating chances from side breakthroughs and crosses, they were unable to score as they failed to hit the target.

Continuing to fight tenaciously, in the 28th minute of the second half, player Ruka KASAHARA picked up the ball in the midfield and dribbled to the right side, delivering a soft cross. Player Kaisei ITO jumped in and scored the long-awaited opening goal with a header.

The additional time, which seemed to be the end of the game, was used to score a goal from a counterattack and the game was tied. Although there was little time left, we continued to aggressively fight for victory, but we couldn't score a goal and the game ended in a 1-1 draw.

We held the opening ceremony after the end of the game.

After that, we traveled by bus while interacting with Bologna FC players.

After that, we returned to the hotel and finished dinner, preparing for tomorrow's 20:45 kickoff against Inter.
