-Day 6-
The TSF International Tournament starts today!
After having breakfast at the hotel, we played a light sweat in the nearby square in the morning to adjust our condition as the game kicked off at 18:30.
After that, we moved to the dining hall during the tournament and had lunch!
At the dining venue, the chairman who is running this tournament gave an encouraging speech, saying, "FC Tokyo has achieved a third place finish in the past, so I hope they will achieve even better results this time!"
After having lunch, a meeting was held and Harushiro MATSUSHITA was appointed as the captain for this tournament.
"Everyone has confirmed what they can do and what they should do for victory, and we have prepared for the first game!"
I arrived at the venue a little early and watched the game at a packed stadium. As I got used to the atmosphere of the tournament, my motivation gradually increased.
[Qualifying League Match 1]
vs FC Girondins de Bordeaux
First Half 1-1
Second Half 0-1
Total 1-2
[Scorer]
Yuha TSUMURAYA
[First Half]
In the beginning, we were pushed by the opponent's momentum and couldn't keep up with their speed, resulting in a continuous struggle to take the ball.
Conceded a goal from the opponent's corner kick in the first minute. It was a goal conceded by being caught off guard at the start.
Afterwards, we gradually regained our composure and were able to hold onto the ball without fear of the opponent's pressure!
In the 13th minute, Yuha TSUMURAYA broke through the opponent's defense by connecting passes from the center and right side from the DF line, and then made a direct shot into the goal from the overlap of the left side back! We caught up to a tie in the first half.
After that, the FW continued to gather the ball and chances increased in front of the goal, but they were unable to finish and the first half ended.
【Second Half】
Both teams tried to control the ball from the start of the first half, and the battle in the midfield continued.
As the game progresses, the team gradually becomes able to take the ball, but then struggles to connect passes and cannot dominate the game.
During the middle of the game, we will have more possession of the ball and try to connect it from the DF line to the goal area.
I have been unable to move forward as I wanted without being able to release the pressure.
Gradually, the opponent began to push us back and our defense held strong. However, in the 19th minute, we gave away a foul and from the resulting free kick, the opponent used the side and crossed the ball into the middle, resulting in a goal.
It became a goal during the most important time period, right after the start and towards the end of the game, that we had to be careful about.
For the players, it was a very disappointing defeat, but as the qualifiers continue tomorrow, we will do our best to prepare for the top stage with the mindset of "everything for the win"!
Thank you for your continued support!
