Player Comments
"I am filled with a sense of apology for transferring in the middle of the season to the position of team captain, which involves leading the team, as I was unable to contribute to the game and play this year. Since joining the Tokyo Academy at the age of 12, it has been my dream to wear the number 4 jersey and captain's armband and raise the trophy. I had a strong desire to win in Tokyo. I really struggled with the decision to transfer while aiming for a position where I could compete for the championship. However, I felt that it was necessary for me to challenge myself at this point in time, so I made the decision."
During my time at Tokyo, I have the confidence that I loved Tokyo and my hometown of Kodaira, where the ground is, more than anyone else. This time, I will be transferred on a temporary basis, but Tokyo will always be the club that raised me, not only as a soccer player but also as a human being.
I sincerely hope that beloved Tokyo, with whom I have walked more than half of my life together, will win the league championship.
Thank you very much to all the fans and supporters, as well as everyone involved, for supporting me during difficult and truly painful times when I was injured.
