Chofu City will further develop the strong partnership that both parties have built over a long period and lead to the creation of multifaceted effects in community development.
Furthermore, regarding the utilization of the reserved land at the former Chofu Air Base, which Chofu City and FC Tokyo aim to realize jointly, we are confident that the effective use of this area will bring complex benefits beyond just the promotion of sports to our city. [Comment from Shigeya Kawagishi, President and CEO of Tokyo Football Club Co., Ltd.]
“We are very honored to have concluded a comprehensive partnership agreement with Chofu City.
FC Tokyo has already built a deep relationship with Chofu City, and through this agreement, we are truly delighted that the community and the club can become even more united and envision the future together.
In particular, the utilization of the reserved land at the former Chofu Air Base is not only a major challenge for FC Tokyo but also an opportunity to create a new form of sports open to the local community. In addition to development and strengthening, we aim to become an 'indispensable presence' for the community through the establishment of a multifunctional base linked with disaster prevention, welfare, and town development. Working together with Chofu City, we will carefully and steadily bring this project to fruition step by step. We sincerely ask for your continued understanding and cooperation.”
