We are pleased to announce that we have received the '2025 J.League Best Development Club Award' at the 2025 J.League Awards.
This marks the third consecutive year we have received this award, and the fifth time overall including the 2010 and 2017 seasons, setting a new record for the most awards received by a J.League club.
□ Shigeya Kawagishi, President and CEO Comments
"We are very proud as a club to have received the '2025 J.League Best Youth Development Club Award' for the fifth time, and for three consecutive seasons, as well as to have updated the record for the most awards received. We see this as a solid recognition of our long-standing commitment to making youth development the foundation of our club.
We are grateful to the academy staff who support and face the daily growth of the players, the families who warmly watch over the players, the local community, and the fans, supporters, and partner companies who always back us up.
We have also received tremendous support from our academy partners and academy supporters. Once again, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved.
This year, four players from the academy have been promoted to the top team. In addition, many players from the academy have been selected for age-group national teams and are showing their active presence on various stages.
Continuously demonstrating a clear pathway from development to the top team is the club’s responsibility and an investment in the future. We will continue to contribute to the advancement of Japanese soccer through development and strive to remain a club that can challenge the world, never ceasing our efforts to move forward.
□ Satoru ASARI Academy Director
"We have been honored to receive the '2025 J.League Best Youth Development Club Award.' This achievement would not have been possible without the support of the players' families, school teachers, academy partners, academy supporters, fans and supporters, and partner companies who support the players on a daily basis.
In addition, I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the teams in the 4th category (under 12 years old, elementary school age) who have entrusted players to the FC Tokyo Academy. Once again, I would like to sincerely thank everyone involved with the FC Tokyo Academy.
As a club, we are very pleased that the efforts we have made while sharing a consistent philosophy from the top team to the academy have been recognized in this way.
At the FC Tokyo Academy, we prioritize individual growth over winning or losing, aiming to nurture the skills, decision-making ability, and character necessary to succeed in the top team in the future. This year, four players have been promoted to the top team, and other players are also stepping onto the next stage in their respective paths. We look forward to them taking on new challenges with the experience they have gained in the academy. Moving forward, we will continue to pursue development that maximizes each player's potential and consistently produce players who embody the spirit of FC Tokyo. We will also continue our efforts in development to bring the J1 League championship to FC Tokyo and to nurture players who can succeed on the world stage.
We sincerely appreciate your continued understanding and support for the FC Tokyo Academy.
