[Report] Implementation of "Child and Youth Development Support Project - Creating a Better Future for Children through Soccer"

On 4/2 (Sat), in the 2016 Meiji Yasuda J1 League 1st Stage 5th round match against Nagoya Grampus (16:00 kickoff/Ajinomoto Stadium), we implemented the "Children and Youth Development Support Project - Creating a Future for Children through Soccer" and would like to report as follows:

□ Co-hosted
FC Tokyo, Certified Non-Profit Organization Raise Up Net

□ Sponsor
Fuchu City

□ Target
Junior high school students in Fuchu City

□ Implementation details
Currently, support for learning and other forms of assistance is being provided to children from impoverished families based on the Act on Support for Independence of Needy Persons. On the other hand, it is necessary to go beyond such support in the area of learning and provide mechanisms for career design education that looks to the future, fostering a vocational perspective, and offering opportunities for work experience to complement these efforts.
We have worked on the "Child and Youth Development Support Project" in collaboration with the certified specified non-profit organization "Ikuage Net" with the slogan "Expanding the future for children through soccer" to address such social issues.

This time, we invited junior high school students from Fuchu City to have an inspiring experience with their friends, and also invited them to watch an FC Tokyo game. Prior to the game, we provided an opportunity for them to explore career design related to soccer, and on the day of the game, we had them experience working (cleaning the spectator seats) at Ajinomoto Stadium, as well as a tour of the stadium and a workplace tour of the people working there.
